Guys, as a reminder and courtesy to others that also don't want to see any further Re-Simplification of AA status runs, please use some common sense and discretion if reposting any un-encoded information.

Well that has let the cat completely out of the bag!

Hiding this stuff from QF is pretty pointless IMHO. QF isn't going to re-jog their entire earning scheme just to thwart one particular YUPP route:
a) because it's not worth the cost
b) because they can't predict whether AA will even be offering the YUPPs, or if they do, when, or if AA will ever offer then again in the future on that route.

Instead they're know that some portion of their FF base is doing this, and will pull the data of what people do from their DB of bookings that have earned points. They'll figure out, from a large sample size, how big the "problem" is, and adjust broad parameters (e.g. change some bands, or devalue the entire earning on AA) to cut down the attractiveness of doing this "as a whole".

The place where publishing the exact routing might attract a response, would be from AA. They might realise that the fare's been published in error (if indeed there was an error) and pull it.

Flying out of the Pinapple State there's a few low $2.xx/SC runs but they earn bang on the dot 1400SC after 2 return trips and a cough load of sleeping on planes, ie no need for a hotel at the other end just HNL and the run starts fairly late in the day so you can sleep in when you get back after having some bleary eyed sleep on the 4-5 hour hops across the continent.

True, I guess that is the down side. I guess the money saved on hotels goes into positioning flights hahah. I was thinking of AUS-LOTFAP-PINAPPLE-AUS for flights to LOTFAP if anyone was heading over the Pacific. A lot of the time it only adds a hundred or two tops more to the fares.

QF aren't going to change their entire FF program just to block a specific status run. They don't even have control over which routes AA offers attractive pricing on. The only thing they can do is structure the program to make the entire concept of these runs less attractive. And they can figure out whether they need to do that from their existing FF booking information (and, I guess, the total number of posts about it here).

It's going to be a costly business earning SCs domestically but one of the best routes is:

LST-xMEL-xSYD-OOL or vv Red e-Deal Y. Currently $191 for 30 SC or $6.37/SC

For a bit more comfort:
HBA-xMEL-xSYD-DRW or vv in J. Currently $1168 for 160 SC or $7.3/SC

Melburnians (or those inhabiting the top end) could consider:
MEL-xBNE-CNS or vv Red e-Deal Y. Currently $262 for 30 SC or $8.73SC
or
MEL-xSYD-DRW or vv in J. Currently $1020 for 120 SC or $8.5/SC
