I'll be attending the dinner but not the FTU. I'm staying at the Marriott and can guest one person into the lounge for some pre dinner drinks.
I'm assuming the drinks and food start at 5:30 like other Marriotts but have not stayed in Brisbane before.

Flying up from Melb on QF616 on Sat and back on QF537 and QF455 on Sun in case anyone else is on those flights.

Good to know potm, thanks :).
I need to run to get back to work, more later..

+1 & I are also at the Marriott; we may bump into each other at some stage.

I’ll be hanging around the lounge from around 3:30 looking for company to talk points and travel. Come join me if you’re free.

Lunch & dinner conversation just got better!

Have been able to confirm 3 new FTU Speakers:

John Douglas, GM Marriott BNE
Get insights into what goes into a merger of hotel brands at the hotel level.

Stuart Dinnis, PEX+ Advisory Board and formerly with both Virgin Australia during the re-brand, and also many years with Virgin America.

Mark Ross-Smith, Head of Enrich & Loyalty with Malaysia Airlines.
With MH135 on 6th June, MH resumes service to BNE.
A great time to pick Mark's brains about the Enrich program, and why he thinks Enrich Platinum is one of the best out there!

And still, a few times a day I look at the menu to try to decide what to have ;). Today I'm back to the Wagyu ..

My goodness. That's an impressive array of speakers and topics. I would dearly love to hear (especially) John and Mark's insights. A shame I missed it by "this much, Chief"!

Okay, cleared with Mrs QF WP that I am available Sat afternoon and for dinner. Will get my dinner booking done

Edit: Booking done. Now to send you that email.

Save the date!
I'm waiting on venue & pricing, so will post it as it comes to hand.
The timing fits with the Frequent Traveler University being held at the BNE Marriott on 14-15 April.

You don't have to be attending the FTU to come to the dinner - It's a dinner for visiting / random / local frequent flyers as well as optional for attendees :).

A great weekend. Met up with lots of old friends and made heaps of new friends. Dinner was great. Best steak ever!

Thanks Storyteller

Wonderful dinner and great to see all the regulars come out. Quite a large group.

Big thanks to Storyteller for running around organising the dinner.

Thanks :)
It was a delicious meal, wasn't it! Will have to go back to ChaChaChar another time :D

And the FTU went off pretty well as well, good crowd, good Speakers, some heavy hitters on the Loyalty Panel.

Oh and the lunches at the Marriott! Yummy :D If that's what they can do with every single seat in their restaurant and bar taken up by us, all, coming in at the same time, then their kitchen is amazing!

May have to do this all again sometime....
