Well they got me. As a non status pax I'll be keeping a close eye on the lounge meets thread.

Many thanks to the OP... Great find!

I have booked BNE-SYD-LAX-BNE outbound on Saturday 14 May and return Saturday 14 May for ~USD266. It appears on my bookings on VA website. Pre-allocated 25D for outbound flight and 25C for inbound flight.

Don't ask me why I booked it but I expect that it will not be honoured. But if it is honoured then I have to try an In-N-Out burger to see what all the fuss is about.

Anyone know how many SCs this will earn?

90 SCs and 15,000 haul of points. In-n-Out is just good ole greasy burgers served with animal style fries.

90 SCs

Think I am too nervous lol.
" I am sorry sir, that booking has been canceled" are the words I fear.

I called to have my friend's booking attached to mine and it was all good. I wouldn't worry. If they decide to end the sale, I doubt your call would influence that.

Pretty well first on the order of things to do I think - In-N-Out

It is 40 each way - not going to get me to the magic retain plat number but I dont really care haha

WOW, that is dedication to the cause my friend.

15 hours there for a day trip and 15 hours back...in economy?

That imo is a complete waste of time.

I booked CNS - SYD - LAX return for 4pax cost was $1330 in April school holidays. Kids are going to be happy when they wake up!

QANTAS and virgin are having some amazing sale fares to the USA.....pretty soon sub $500 return is going to be the norm

Good luck to all..
I assume this was only bookable thru Orbitz... suggesting it will be their stuff up more likely than the airlines??
