After trying to find the answer in this thread I'm still confused, do the SC from this promotion count towards the SC rollover (provided didn't hit the cap)?
Was just about to ask the same question. Even though I was disappointed that they don't count towards your lifetime status, I suppose there might be some value if they roll over into the next membership year, as that's 15 less SCs required to retain your current tier the year after. After trying to find the answer in this thread I'm still confused, do the SC from this promotion count towards the SC rollover (provided didn't hit the cap)?

Given that vaccination will be a requirement to fly Qantas at some stage ( as well as the best general health thing right now) and Qantas will want as many people to fly them as possible, it seems a good commercial strategy as well as marketing.
Just wait. Same thing happened with me, always received the error message but still received the credits anyway. Twitter also reporting it as a frequent issue and Qantas are aware.Feeling technically challenged here ... We were vaccinated in London, got our GP add our vax records in our Medicare records. Got the certificate - as shown in the sample - in pdf and saved it. Opened up the QF app on iPhone, went through all the steps, included the pdf upload, but kept getting error message the file not recognised or something went wrong, try again! Arrrgh ... Have tried multiple times but to no avail. Give up?
In this interview posted by PomDownUnder, Joyce is pretty clear that other countries will require vaccination and Qantas will be checking so likely not their issue. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If QF goes it alone, will they actually turn away business and profits by insisting pax need to be vaccinated?
I seem to recall reading that AC has it mandatory for travellers to be vaccinated. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If QF goes it alone, will they actually turn away business and profits by insisting pax need to be vaccinated?

Can anyone truly be proud of any association with Jetstar......eeekI bet everyone who picked the 1000 points is jealous... Guess who's the proud owner of a $20 Jetstar Voucher

Don't believe so.I chose 15 status credit - do they count towards fast track to gold status 100??? any idea
Maybe irrelevant to picking the gift.Totally irrevant to this discussion on exchanging your digital vaccination certificate for some SCs, points or a voucher from Qantas. YMMV
You have to give away your personal health information to sit in an exit row. Confirming good health is still personal health information. How do those equate?
In any case you're exaggerating my statement. My original statement was that this is a low offer for what they're asking you to provide, and I gave comparisons of offers you get with no requirement asked of you. Nothing to do with blanket opposition.
I suspect it is a business trade off they considered:It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If QF goes it alone, will they actually turn away business and profits by insisting pax need to be vaccinated?
And internationally vaccination will be a requirement anyway for non citizens of the arrival country.I suspect it is a business trade off they considered:
1. Losing the business of those who refuse to be vaccinated; or
2. Losing the business of those who refuse to fly an airline which doesn't mandate pax vaccination.
I suspect the dollars (and sense) thankfully landed on losing the former and not the latter.
You may be right, but I recall when they did the recent BP promotion for 50 status credits, they had similar language in their T&Cs, but made an exception for Fast Track - doesn't probably make sense that they'd make this exception again, but hope they do.Don't believe so.
"Status Credits: 15 Status Credits will be credited to your account within three days of your completed application for a reward. Status Credits will not contribute towards any Platinum or Platinum One Bonus Rewards, Loyalty Bonuses, Lifetime status and any Qantas Status Accelerator. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions."
If you don't see the difference between a document, and making a declaration... then obviously you don't agree with Qantas. You have to give away your personal health information to sit in an exit row. Confirming good health is still personal health information.
I don't agree that's it an exaggeration to say you object to being asked for personal health information.
Toasters for Xmas presents!Geez I thought this was a brilliant offer!
I took the $20 because I already have 1,000,000 points I can't use
Easy there turbo...I could go and get the study which shows that actually small incentives can work just as well as big ones (yeah, despite what you think sometimes just the narrative is what's important), but clearly you are in the camp of damning Qantas whatever so I won't bother.
