Haven't voted quite yet but I think the weekend after Anzac day would be good.
I would like to do the jet each way. Friday drinks with full degustation on Sat sounds wonderful :) I will need to be back in time to get home Sunday evening ( allowing time for connecting flight from MEL last flight leaves MEL at 2000hrs) so if the jets leaving late then I would fly back "commercial" from AKL.
Will vote as soon as I can firm up my dates/ work commitments and thanks once again bossreggie for this fantastic opportunity, enjoy the rest of your trip :)

EDIT: The Hilton weekend special rate is available on those dates if anyone is interested in staying there

I voted for another weekend because as previously posted I will be in the USA during April.

I reckon this has the potential to be the AFF event of 2012, I know it is early but I am going to make that call now.

Wow what a fantastic offer. I'm definitely keen for lunch (with wines) but will have to fly over commercial.

Thanks bossreggie :)

My preferred W/E is Friday 23 March to Sun 25 Mar:shock: but with some manipulation might be able to fit in Fri April 27 - Sun Apr 29:o

I wont vote for reasons i have put down before but there is a reasonable chance I could make lunch on the last weekend of April all going well.Unfortunately I would not be able to give a firm committment until 3-4 weeks out.
I would fly the last flight out from BNE so probably stay at the Novotel at the airport.Would really love to do the lunch, sounds fantastic.I would also have to fly home on the Sunday.

Great opportunity to fly in a private jet, thankyou Bossreggie. However the current travel budget would indicate I will use commercial flights. As far as food, wine and drinks are concerned I am up for anything and more than happy to pay up front. Preference would be for the late April weekend and I will vote that way. Will probably stay at the Hilton.

I've been offline in the WA provinces for a bit and for some reason I'm not being notified of replies to this thread.

I've just voted for the last weekend of March date. The late April date will definitely not work for me as I'll be cruising the Kimberley coast .

However, I have total flexibility outside my own previously-arranged travel (ie. no boss/work, no SWMBO :D:D:D) so I am able to fit fairly well to pretty much anything.

Also, I'm good and keen for the private jet and whatever lunch and (definitely) the wine (my hobby :D) costs.

I've voted for the bossreggie birthday weekend, i.e. end of March.

End of April might work, though I'd probably then try and time it right off my trip to Europe (which is happening in mid-April). No *A F flights into AKL as far as I know (though SQ J or NZ J is pretty good).

I'm keen for the food and wine option. I should at least be good to cover that amount.

The Gulfstream is out of my budget. Yes, that is a very good deal - QF J price, even at "full" J - coupled with bossreggie's generosity, but unfortunately I'd probably not have close to the funds required. So, I will have to find my own way there with my own booked flights, just like a normal person ;) :p

Hotel wise, I'm tossing up between (a) booking the cheapest chain hotel in AKL, (b) blowing points for either a IHG hotel (probably Crowne Plaza) or Hilton, or (c) the Hilton AKL if it'll go at a good price (and it is remarkably difficult to do so).

Thanks again, bossreggie, for your organisation and generosity.

So far we have 20 AFFers for the last weekend in March and 25 AFFers for the last weekend in April. Either way this most generous BossReggie AKL lunch will be one to remember. Maybe we need another poll for the jet charter? From the comments so far it looks to be way overbooked??

It didn't seem way overbooked to me.. (the jet)

New to polls like this. I clicked on something & was able to see who had voted for what option. Backpaged, & tried to vote for April 27-29. Tried to view again who had voted for what, to check that mine shows up, & can't get in.
How do I see who has voted?

As posted previously, I'm in for the jet, the full lunch & wine, plus anything else that the group are doing. Probably stay at the Hilton.

Oh, forget the above. I accidentally touched on the numbers & all was revealed.

I will commit to the lunch ,( last weekend in April) stay somewhere close , but can't commit to jet as I will go early and / or stay late ( can't go to Auckland and NOT spend a day or two with my mum)

With 30 so far going to the lunch last weekend in April, may I suggest another pool for those desiring a seat on the G550? With BR sitting in one seat and maybe a BR friend/associate/partner in another, that leaves 6 other seats for AFFers. I would like to get 1 and another for Ms RockyRoad as she really likes a good party, food and wine and I owe her a trip away. Well a few actually.

And the conference in HNL that was being planned first week of April now might be last week of April, darnit! :(

I would love to join in the lunch on the weekend in April!

I will be making my way over commercial flight (Perth - > Mel - > Auckland?) or via Syd... not sure yet. Don't mind the mid tier hotel, i'm QP so I can guest someone with me from Perth all the way if interested!

Hope nothing comes up that will prevent me from going! Can't believe I missed this thread!

It's looking like the end of April is a clear favourite. Poll still has not closed but the trend is defo with that.

The other important aspect of this is: Of the 30 odd potential attendees, How many are intending on bringing a +1??

Mods: I propose that once the poll has closed, If you have NOT voted, No further spots will be available unless I am PM'd and approve.

Also, as a reminder, and as per my 1st post on this thread mentioning the details.... If we have too many members wishing to attend, final attendees will be determined at my discretion, however I will involve mods in this. I hope it will not come to this as I think the more the merrier. As a general rule, if you are known to me, or another AFF member who knows me, you would get priority.

To whet the appetite, those of you on my FB and Twitter will have seen my lovely lunch yesterday with Heston Blumenthal. I would rate Simon in my top 10 chefs worldwide.

I am definately out on both. Just booked for Italy but will watch with much interest for another opportunity

Thanks bossreggie. Mrs SFSC will be with me if we can be included and the end of April gets up in the poll. I'll be solo if it's the end of March. Will PM re financial arrangements.

I would be interested in bringing a +1. I think you know the only AFFer I've met so far (samh004).

If you get a twitter follow request soon from someone with same initial but different to my AFF name, it's likely to be me. ;) :p Love to be teased by food pics!
