Ok, well I've been in BNE Flounge twice & the SYD Flounge just once, so I'm familiar with the BNE facilities.

GPH - we'll see how the day is going, might slum it, might Flounge it. Or I go into the Flounge alone, and Mr Katie & Little Miss could hang with you & Mrs GPH in the QP. ;)

The catering is often better than BNE really, especially around the times LAN comes through ...

Have they evolved since I was last in the AKL F area? (It's been a while)

The best thing I think they had then was some decent sandwiches, and decent soup (this was still the era when you got thin soup in the QP / Int J Lounge, and decent, thicker soup in the Dom J Lounge / Int F Areas).

Last time I passed through there for breakfast it was still all continental. I'm guessing they at least put some eggs on now.

We will be the party people being frowned at then !

Is anybody going over early? Specifically the 26th?
We ( Mrs GPH and me) are flying BNE -SYD- AKL on the 26th ( a Thursday as I recall) QF 529 from Sydney. Only have one hour on the ground so probably no time for a breather in the lounge.

I do believe we are on the same flight good sir, found that out through Planely.

We're connecting with ..... as much as I hate to say it..... a Jetstar flight. On the upside, this will be my first ever F Lounge visit.

Greg.

Hi Greg. I don't have quite the same issues with death star. Actually we are flying HNL-SYD in May in J on JQ.
In any event looks like we connect in BNE.
PM me for catch up arrangements.

Dress code for the dinner and lunch would be "smart casual" with collar.

It is not going to be too formal, as I believe we are all there to have a great lunch with some wine, and some good conversation and laughs.

Use your common sense, but make sure you pack your sense of humour and Beroccas!!

And something which you'll still fit after a 7 course lunch :)

Something which you'll fit into after a huge steak on Friday night, followed by 7 courses on Saturday :o

Anyone else getting excited yet? I keep looking at the Friday night steak menu The Jervois Steak House & Saloon can't decide between the prime rib or the 1 kilo Rib eye!

I started to get excited when I met BR last week for drinks :)

I think it'd have to be the prime rib... It is their signature dish...
but my uncle is an angus stud farmer, so I was brainwashed from a young age to think angus is the best, so maybe that's why :P
