Not comparing apples with apples.I haven't seen anything saying this is regulation - simply guidance. In any case, it is really trying to solve a different problem - which is lots of people sharing a confined space for a long period of time. I am not quite sure what problem the testing of pax from China is supposed to solve. A few Chinese people importing Omicron into a land that is already awash with Omicron?
Just as a little aside - and not relevant to the actual discussion point - I couldn't help noticing that your reaction was that a requirement to provide a negative test was unfair when applied to you but you're sanguine when it is applied to Chinese people.
Australia knows the variants it has. We have no internal restrictions.
Anyway, it is not the case that these restrictions apply to China only.
