My estimate would be 'Buckley's".

I received a slightly different offer in the post today. (Interestingly addressed to "The Householder")
"How would you spend 60,000 Citibank Rewards Points?"
"If you apply and are approved for your Citi Platinum Credit Card before 31 March 2011, you'll receive 60,000 bonus Citibank Rewards points when you make your first purchase on your Citi Platinum Credit Card."
No mention anywhere of the Citibank Qantas rewards program though.
I just received the same offer. If I am right that equates to 30k KrisFlyer points which is good.
40...........which is better
This is based on a transfer rate of 3/2
I note you say 1/1...which unless it has changed is incorrect.
should a new thread be started for this?
bonus rewards points this web link seems to be a better offer of 60k points and it expires on may 31 and you only need to make a purchase of any amount to get the bonus points. To be eligible for the 60,000 bonus Citibank reward points you need to apply for the Citibank Platinum Credit Card before 31 May 2011 and make a retail purchase with your card prior to 31 October 2011. This promotion excludes ATM cash advances, balance transfers and special promotions. The bonus points will be awarded on the next statement cycle, following your first retail purchase.
If I pay $49 to opt in to QFF, I wonder if I will get 60,000 bonus QFF points instead? Or does the bonus apply only if you stay on the Citibank rewards program?

I believe you do yes. But you have to join the QFF program whilst you are on the phone activating your card for the first time. I think this is written somewhere in the T&C's
Seems to be a better deal than the 75,000 bonus MR points available on the $900 Amex Plat Charge Card. Only difference is MR allows you to transfer to other airline FF programs and the substantial price difference between annual fees of these two cards. I wonder if the bonus offer applies to CitiGold customers too (who are entitled to annual fee waiver). If yes, it sounds like a gold deal.

There is no mention of having to apply after a certain date. I applied relatively recently. They may be able to say that the offer wasn't available when I first applied but given that I applied about 1-2 weeks ago, I suspect that it was on offer (although it will be hard for me to prove this).

Friend of mine called the call centre. They said it's either 60,000 Citibank points or 50,000 QFF points. Can't see any mention of that in the terms and conditions.
That's not what I understand the T&C's at bonus rewards points to read - it clearly states:That's because these are two separate offers. The link at Citi website offers 60k Citi reward points, whereas the link at the Qantas FF special offer website has 50k bonus QFF points. The offer that will apply depends on the link that you used when applying for the card. That is my understanding.
so you can have the points deposited in either program. Past experience with Citibank wards me off any promotion they have because it's such an unpleasant chore extracting their offers out of them.5. There are two reward programs available. Unless you enrol in the Citibank Qantas Rewards program, you will automatically be enrolled in the Citibank Rewards program.

can any Citigold members who applied for this offer confirm if their card annual was waived and they got the 60k bonus too?
