Don't buy gift cards for the 30 points. I had to buy gift cards only and didn't get 30 points for the transaction

They don't seem too bothered about giving away the points.

What a difference a few days can make.

Had to fight to get the points at Woolworths today.

Shop assistant claimed that my backpack wasn't a bag for the purposes of the bring your own bag promotion for points.

Needless to say she copped a serve from me. I did get my 2 points though!

She should be grateful you didn’t write her a letter. ;):p

I’m enjoying the collectibles from Coles. Isn’t that a bit sad

Not sad at all. 4 year old granddaughter and I had fun playing shop this afternoon. I like the yogurt best, she liked the shoe polish tin. She was quite taken with the idea of shoe polishing, a concept she had not come across before.

I’ll share. I actually thought they were real samples. Chucked the first 3 away. I wonder how many kids will try eat the Muesli bar one.

Damn, forgot my bags this morning and spent $30 to get one of the minis for my kids collection, but no 30 points. Must think before I act....

There is nothing in the info that was sent to stores saying what sort of bags were needed, it just said "reusable bags". No reason based on the comms why a backpack wouldn't count.

You gave her a serve over 1c worth of points?
Yep. The value of the points was irrelevant. The attitude of the employee was paramount. I detest employees who think they know better than you and have chosen to ignore the published store policies. To suggest that my backpack wasn't a bag was not a proper course of action and showed a clear lack of understanding of the policy. I wrote a formal letter of complaint about this employee last night specifically naming them.

Went to do a personal shop on the way home and got another two free Coles plastic bags for free. I’ve put them in my car as my “own reusable bag” and will see if that works

Then you should have asked for 1 item per bag as compensation for the lost points.

Where did you send this letter?
