SOPOOR - have a read of the advice below again... you are taking this way too seriously and stressing yourself out! Just relax, if you get the additional points, then great. If not then don't worry about it.
yeah, maybe you are right, but I just wanted to really try and get my free holiday.....(maybe thats why im stressing, cos I needed one)
UPDATE: well, I escalated to the supervisor who said the same thing and was adament about it, she said you needed to go into a branch and fill in paper work, and she repeated that she was right and knew what she was talking about, I told her to check again, and WHOOSH the new numbers came up on online banking and that the old cards were not working, and she told me that the statement date had changed to 20th of Jan
so I jumped online immediately while she was on the phone to check, sure enough the numbers had changed, the statement date is blank, and it appears that something has been done.
So I got back to her and said, "don't you feel you look a bit silly that you were preaching that you were right but yet you did what I have been asking for weeks over the phone when you said I needed to visit a branch"
After many excuses, without one apology, I asked if she could manage to send out new CORRECT cards without stuffing it up, to which she obligied , the conversation was ended,
now, I realised that the replacement amex card still had the old amex numbers on it when the MC had the new numbers on it, so it looks like I will be out of an amex until early jan........ bummer.
also, for some reason my availalbe credit has gone up by $10,000 odd, with the balance $0. so maybe (wishful thinking) that they waived my balance as a sign of good faith
