So even though my email says I successfully sent and received a CC on 4\12\15......checked today via phone and informed payslip email not received?????
Resent after typing in the email address.....
Having Jess call me when email received and reassured due to application before 5th December will get points and $0 fee after reimbursement.
NOT HAPPY JAN!
 
I couldn't be happier, Mrs.Radio applied for the platinum but was only sent the basic card, after ringing up saying that this is not what she wanted (before activating the card) and telling them to cancel, she was offered the same 40k points.
From my readings on here I told her to get it in writing and they promptly sent her the info in an email, now some time later she has received the 40k bonus points, so not only did she get a lower grade card with a nice low limit and less annual fee, but she also still got the 40k bonus and I noticed she is getting the platinum card points earn rate.
 
Cards received, have rang & checked that they are linked to offer, QFF number provided. All good so far.
 
So today I received letter dated 3rd Dec asking for pay slips!
No contact from Jess to say email received grrrrrr
 
Phoned again today to see if email received sent 4th and 8th dec with Payslips....on hold grrrrrr

Informed that approved fully 8th Dec
Jess was going to call me today but no need too as I called CBA
Take a week to send out cards.
Need to be activated by 5th Jan
Feb $500 needs to be spent....

Well received cards in mail today!
Activated cards.
Now on hold while I sort out phone password to get PIN
Will ask them to take QFF number too!

I think the CBA night staff sleep as 20minutes and still on hold!

Finally got through and Phone bank password....would not let me setup my own PIN????

Got straight thru.
New the conditions of card.
QFF number given and attached!

Now to spend $500 :)
 
Just received my 40K QFF points from CBA. I only got the card in October in the latest promo.

The $10 QF opt-in fee and the $249 are also refunded. Pretty happy.

The only thing they need to improve is to allow entry of QFF number at application, rather than opt-in manually on their website after getting the card. It is something customer can easily miss and forget.

I won't cancel the card yet as I will be on overseas trip in next 4 months and their travel insurance is actually pretty good!

Great news, im still waiting for my points to come across. I got mine mid November so will no doubt itll be a little longer

My partner got her points and refunds within 6 weeks of reaching spend. Shes already cancelled and moved onto the next offering.

I've had the card 4 weeks longer and am still waiting.
 
Applied on the 4th just before the promo expired. Had to upload payslips, got a call at work to check employment. Took an extra week to approve the account because the new application clashed with another Netbank account tied to Comsec that I completely forgot I had.

Cards arrived today, they're standard Commbank Awards cards, 2k limit. Went into my local branch to activate and sort out Netbank, got them to call up as well about why I hadn't gotten platinum cards. Got told that the bonus offer still applied but I could only get the basic card with the limit I was approved for.

Gave the awards team a call when I got home, played dumb and said I didn't know why I hadn't gotten the Platinum cards I applied for. He put me on hold and went to chat with the cards team, came back and confirmed that yes, I was still eligible for the 40k bonus if I met the minimum spend by Feb 5. QF program opt-in of $30 would also be waived as expected. Gave him my QFF number, now showing up correctly as 'Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct' on the awards site.

Only real difference is that with the standard cards the Amex only earns 1.5ppd in Commbank Awards points, AND the sweep from Commbank Award points to QF is 2.5 : 1 instead of 2 : 1. So 0.6ppd on the Amex and 0.4ppd on the Mastercard. Certainly won't be using it for more than the min spend.

Hopefully the rest of the process goes smoothly, fees are refunded and points post in a timely manner.
 
40,000 bonus points awarded 9 weeks after opening account.
 
Just got my bonus points about 6 weeks after receiving the cards. I did email commonwealth rewards asking when I'd get them last week and today they appeared.

I applied for this card in July and received the points soon after, I still have not been refunded the application fee yet though. Has anyone else not had their fee refunded?

Mine's quite the contrary - both fees were refunded in my first statement but I'm still waiting for the points even though I've already met the minimum spend...

Expect it by the third statement. Unrealistic to expect it before then.
 
I finally received my bonus points today, despite getting my first statement way back in late June. I called up to query the lack of bonus points 2 weeks ago and was assured I'd have them by the end of this month - not clear if that was going to happen anyway or if that was promoted by my call.

EDIT: Rocket, I got the fee refunded before my third statement.
