So I'm about to apply for this card from the website marked 40k points... Just before cut off date.
Just seems to compare to anz black wait time for points?

Conditionally approved.
2 x Payslips
Id check in Branch.

Does that mean I have to submit Payslips before 5th Dec and ID check to get the points offer?
I did you the link in first post on thread.

They did not ask for my Qantas Frequent Flyer number yet?

Conditionally approved.

You provide this when you enroll in the Qantas rewards programme when you log into their website.

I was able to upload my documents through the netbank login

Been sitting at 'decision pending' in Netbank for over a week. Called today and I'm approved and need to do ID check in bank. This is despite being a commbank customer since I was 10 years old... Though I did close my transaction account a little while ago, I still have my netbank account as it's linked to my daughters account (she's 2). So maybe fair enough on that one?
Also no record of me applying through the link. Guy on phone says to sort that out at the branch when I go in. Not sure if this is a blow off or not.
Shame branches are only open between 9:30 and 4pm.
Starting to feel I shouldn't have bothered with this offer.

Emailed pay slips today.
Went to do ID check in branch....lady did not know of deal and pointed to another deal advertised on standard card.
I orientated her via website on phone, she placed info on file as nothing showing on her computer as "online application".
mmmmm

I've had a lot of back and forth with Commbank over the last couple of days - they are seriously incompetent.
No record of me applying through link and they won't budge. Solution was to apply again, but again the same thing happened.
They're straight out refusing to add the offer to an existing application. I was told QF is giving the points, and they require the offer to be in place when the application is lodged. Sounds like there's going to be a lot of issues receiving points for those who had the offer added to their account later.
The guy I spoke to was actually pretty helpful as far as he could be. His solution was to add some sort of custom link to my profile, so that I can apply in a branch. If I can find time I'll do this, as I really don't want to give up at this point and have wasted all this time for no reward.

Not surprised so many are having trouble with CBA. I love their app and online banking but always have issues applying for CCs with them and getting rewards/ refunds. You have to do a lot of chasing. Just cancelled my old Platinum offer to apply for the new one and am not optimistic about the 4-7 business day application approval process let alone getting the offer. Good luck to everyone :)

Followup phone call today and spoke to Joe in Customer support and he confirmed that a note was on file from yesterday of offer I applied under.
He was aware of website offer and stated they have been swamped in credit card department and to wait a few days.....

Received my approval letter dated 30 Nov & CC T&C's.
No mention of bonus points or fee refund yet. Maybe in the next letter with CC's?

Not from memory. You wont get this in writing. Make sure you keep a copy of the details provided when you applied online.

I got my fee refund within the first month. Just waiting on my points.

Well I now get an email saying again conditionally approved and to send payslips....which I have already emailed!
I had no reference in first email...now they have provided reference number to put in subject line?

Rang customer service yesterday and within 5 minutes speaking....
Rang tonight at 1130pm......20 minutes and still on hold......

Finally got this sorted yesterday. While in the branch, being 'helped', someone who had a clue overheard. If not for that I would still be going around in circles. She put through the application manually then rang a contact she had in the right area to have the offer added to the application. The whole process was just insane - and I think I am too for sticking with it.

Finally received the annual fee back after 5 months... still no points. Spoke again to the awards department and they assure me they will add the 80k CBA points to my account and then in a month I should see the 40k QF (2:1 apparently) transfer.

Pretty sure I'll be calling again in the new year.

Scratch that, points posted.

Now to cancel and find the next deal.

Applied before the 5th December cutoff but it has taken them a week to conditionally approve, now after the cutoff. Does anyone have a copy of the offer to confirm if it was 'apply and approved by 5th December' ?
