Did you recieve any 'bonus' with your first statement?

Myself: spent so and so $, recieved around 22k in comm bank rewards (not ff related), which was a bonus 20k, plus spending.

Transfer rate of yuk = 8k or so credited to qff.

** Comment 96 up in thread it has my exact points amount transferred after conversion / question **

Will soon be into my 2nd bill, which I expect between 3 - 4 months.

Nope, 0 bonuses on my account as far as I can tell. Just the regular points for spending. Maybe the 40,000 Qantas Points will be sent in small lots instead of one big hit. Might stop people signing up for the points then cancelling the card after a month.

I might need to call CommBank again but their customer service people are clueless. I get a different answer every time. I was considering moving to this card as my main rewards card, but the customer service has been so bad for what's billed as a "platinum" product, I will just cancel it after I get the points. Maybe they give us terrible service if they think we're just in it for the points.

The $10 opt-in fee appeared on my account the day after I called 131661 to opt in.

If you follow the Awards link in NetBank, do you see?....

I suggest that you call 131661 tomorrow and sort it out.

submitted application 2 weeks ago, "Decision pending", have uploaded payslips 4 times and still "decision pending"......

Hi Flying Fox, just wondering how long it took for your spend points to land? I starting spending 16 days ago and met minimum spend 10 days ago but no points have been transferred to my QFF account, where as with ANZ, my spend points land in a day or two.

Just a bit concerned because the $10 Qantas opt-in hasn't been charged to the card either.. I phoned up and was told it can take months to be charged but am not too confident with that response and think that maybe I haven't been opted-in.

Would appreciate your insight!

Sorry for the delay in replying but I had to check the facts.

Purchase was 02/06

QFF Fee was applied 03/06

Points landed in my QFF Account on 07/06

I was probably lucky and got my statement cycle just right (statement ended 05/06).

Thanks for getting back to me. I called up and QFF was not listed on the account. They didn't say I should've opted in by calling but I assume that's case. Have to meet the minimum spend requirement again so that's annoying. Interestingly, the website now says that QFF opt-in is automatically applied to the account which must be a change - it'll be good for anyone looking to sign up soon.

I thought it said it would be done automatically when I signed up as well back in May (in the small print terms & conditions). I ended up opting in to QFF Direct myself via the Netbank Awards site.

On another note I called CommBank again today to ask about the 40,000 points and when I would see them. Person on the phone brushed me off and said they would only look into that for me if I had still not got the points after 90 days from the due date of the statement that took me over $500 (which for me was the 1st statement). Not quite what the terms & conditions said...

Our anual fees were automatically refunded 3 days ago. Gives me confidence that the bonus
points will come without chasing. I was nervous because call centre staff couldn't confirm promo on activation.

Nice, had just checked Netbank and I was back in positive territory @ +$249 :).

40k points will be with us soon I reckon, if not lets just be patient hang out for what they originally quoted eg 90 days.

I haven't received my first statement yet, but then I applied late in the game.

For those that have already received statements, what was the relationship between the first statement date and the approval and/or first spend date?

Different for both the cards we got. Mine was a statement within 17 days of card issue and 7 days from first spend. Partners card has been a little longer than that already.

I just checked my CBA account online. I have been credited the annual fee - only 3 weeks after activation (or a little less), but although they have put a credit against my account, they have not charged the annual fee yet at all - so far only been charged the $10 QFF opt in fee.

I'm sure the charge will come.

Points not credited yet

But my 50k points from ANZ were credited today - roughly 2 months from activation.

So far this year
40k bonus points from NAB received
50k points from ANZ received.

Waiting on 40K CBA points.

All free.

And just got 79k of points due to a business expense I put through my card on behalf of my employer - that was awesome. 79k free points I wasnt counting on. A good points year so far

Hopefully you can find something worthwhile to redeem them on.

Having looked for PE / J Classic Rewards flights where I'm most likely to want them, and seen SFA or very close to, I don't think I'll bother collecting QFF points that much from now on. :-|

I couldn't even get Mrs 2905 an upgrade to J on a particular PER - MEL flight in three months time. :(

Received the card today. The travel insurance "upgrade" isn't very competitive. Although the card covers 6 months of travel, any additional time costs $400+ to extend the policy(I'm travelling for 7 months).

Hey, nice to see you got your refund. Just wondering, if you've met minimum spend and paid the account off, then the $249 lands, can you to transfer the money to a different account or cash it? Or do you have to spend the $249 on the card?

Thanks

I wondered the same. Would rather 'spend' the refund on one of my other credit cards with a much higher earn rate. Wasn't sure if I transfer it on netbank, whether that would trigger a fee.

Well someone needs to take one for the team... ;)
