No, I suspect kevrosmith is just using a script that's floating around AFF.

Ahhh...I see. I thought maybe we'd got an actual enhancement of the QF website. Seriously, given how many things rely on the booking class (upgrades etc), you'd think they'd show it somewhere during the booking process.

What script is that??

So there's a week to go - however, if you have the plan, time, points and cash, maybe the advice in posts 22 and 23 should be heeded.

(With emphasis on refundability)

No DSC here but the advice relayed to two or three members here has me concerned and I've duly loaded up on some JASA runs too (after making sure they're refundable). Will wait and see what tomorrow brings, if anything.

Well it's April 10, and thankfully, ASAs are still here!

Have you checked redemption rates, fare bucket, cancellation policies etc.?

it does all appear to be the same... but... I have noticed that business and first saver ASAs now seem to attract a change fee of $60 per itinerary change?? Wasn't this waived for non-economy tickets? (although it calls it an itinerary change - is that separate from a date change?)

This has been in place for some international Business/First ASAs for a while. Doesn't apply to domestic Business.

So where are those posters who swore to us that they absolutely, positively knew for sure that QF was either axing or devaluing ASAs on 10 April ?

honestly... does it matter? we should be thankful for the information passed on to us by not one but two fellow members. anything could have happened in the meantime once it was leaked.

Still no reasonable FASAs for DXB or LHR as far as I can tell out to MAR/APR13.

Agree, information often pops up that does not always eventuate, and there is nothing to stop companies using online forums as litmus tests for ideas that they may put into practice.

This is getting beyond a joke. We've said several times that it was a message from Qantas staff. Nobody ever said they "absolutely, positively knew for sure". Time to move on I think.

Personally I won't be cancelling ANY of my refundable xASA's for some time - I await the release of any new website booking engine (the implementation of which may have been delayed) ...

Hopefully ready to share any information with us in the future, and not intimidated by a keyboard warrior

Agreed I mean who hasn't been given a bum steer by people in life and believed it... Hardly their fault.
