Just finished seven days in a row over 10,000 steps, averaging 18,000. Helped by the Melbourne Cup long weekend, but I'm determined to keep this up. I've booked a trek to Nepal next year (Anapurna Base Camp) and have started a couple of teams to do the 100km Oxfam walk next March. The die is cast.

My boss announced Feb company/nationwide charity walk.

Im in trouble....

Well I am about to undo all the good work.Six days of eating too well coming up.

Finding it hard to rise to the challenge facing the prospect of a few weeks in sheephuggland over xmas overindulging and packing it back on.
I am still shifting the flab slowly tho….

Late to this thread.

Three weeks ago I discovered that the Assure App works with Google Fit. As I don't have a Fitbit I hadn't "signed up" to the App previously. But now I can do it with my phone.

In the past I have often walked, but maybe not as often as I should. I find the App encourages me to walk on days I may otherwise find an excuse; plus I make sure I walk the full deal until I reach my goal.

To date:

According to the App, in three weeks I have:
  1. averaged 10,200 steps per day / 71,200 steps per week;
  2. averaged 7.9km per day;
  3. total distance of 222km for an average of 55.6km per week.
My phone tells me I have walked from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (apparently I can walk on water).

And I have lost a few kilos along the way.:)

Hubby is averaging 15-17K steps per day. Hes also really enjoying the info hes getting from his garmin tracker and his Strength/Flexibility physio guy is using the info to help plan his workout week/homework.

I managed my 3 x up and down the small hill this morning. Hubby asked when I was going to start walking further up to the big hill. I said, Not today, Satan, not today.

I have a Garmin - my old Vivofit fell off when I didn't notice, but the Garmin app has all my old records at hand.

This month so far I have averaged 17,000 steps and feel fantastic. My scales stubbornly refuse to budge. It must be the kgs I've put on my iron calves.....

Another week and I still havent cracked 10K. Im just going to have to do a bit more and walk that stupid hill 4 times, arent I?

On the plus said, my ankles and lower back feel less achy.

I'll be walking all over the zoo tomorrow. Hopefully that makes up for not walking much during the week due to doctors appointments and other meetings.

Today travelling from SIN to KUL, espres to Sentral and walk from KLCC to hotel, then back to KLCC for some shopping and back to hotel, I have exceeded my prior max by 120% and my daily target by 132%.

yay!

Disclaimer: I wont post when I fail to reach that target. ;)

Saturday I decorated the office for Christmas so got lots of steps in but definitely felt it on Sunday, with going up and down ladders multiple times.

This morning was up and down the small hill again x 3.

Time to go for 4! We all know you can do it.

I walked all around the Zoo from 9am to 4pm with a few stops here and there. I was under shelter when the rain and hail hit and luckily it was only light rain when we were leaving. I was tired and sore on Sunday so didn't get much walking done then. I'll be walking around supermarkets today to get my 30 minutes walking in.

Problem with supermarket walking, I found that sports trackers dont register the steps while you have your hand on the trolley handle.

If I ever get a tracker I'll let you know what happens with the supermarket exercise. I mostly track active time rather than number of steps.
