The joy of being fat and exercising in public means that sometimes you get someone in a ute or older holden/ford beeping and yelling at you. Because yes, I need a random guy in fluros to tell me Im fat - geez, thanks. Wouldnt have known unless you yelled it out at 50-60klms per hour.

This morning was a CX5 stopping with an older lady driving. I thought she was going to ask for directions, turns out she said that seeing me walk most mornings motivated her to get to work and walk/shower before she clocks in. Not sure how I feel about the random stop but its better than a bogan yelling at me.

Time to go for 4! We all know you can do it.

Finally walked 4 x up and down the small hill... its over rated :)

Well done; I knew you could do it. Keep up the good work.

Only just found this thread.
Years ago I decided push ups was the go. A friend said start easy and build up.
I went home and did one!
When I retired earlier this year, I thought that a 2km walk (each way) to the local shop each morning would be good exercise. Get paper, come home, make a coffee and read it. I don't do it every day but I do it. +1 still thinks I'm lazy because it takes me too long.
I'm proud of you @Denali, keep up the good work and you are one AFFer I hope to meet one day.

Every little bit of movement helps. My phone tracks active minutes and I aim to hit at least 60 minutes every day. Been doing between 80 and 120 most days lately. That and the 5:2 diet has seen me drop quite a few kilos since the start of last year (though we won't talk about the honeymoon weight gain).

4 x up and down the stupid hill this morning. Hate the hill... hate its bigger brother that taunts me as well, it knows one day Im going to have to attempt it.

Just about to go out with Tommy. Plan to do around 10k, but who knows? I'll report back later. It's our 45th anniversary today, and I will negate the work with a long and boozy lunch. C'est la vie.

And 45 years is not a typo. I'm 66 years old. We all got married young in those days.

8.5 km at a 6kph rate. Very humid, so happy with the workout. And a very good lunch followed by a couple of beers with my oldest son watching the cricket on the way home.

I have four interstate trips in the next three weeks, so it will be hard to keep the steps up.

Been lazy the past few days, feeling really tired but did a small walk this morning.

The hot weather really isnt helping. I did a lap of the park yesterday in 36 degree heat, but fortunately mostly in the shade. My trek to the market this morning was definitely sweat inducing.

I used the walk to the car principle yesterday and today. I had lots of appointments in various locations and parked my car 5-10 minutes walk away from each venue. I'd say I got my 30 minutes or more walking per day spread across multiple walks. In the Melbourne heat it was the best I could do without making me too tired or heat affected.

Problem with supermarket walking, I found that sports trackers dont register the steps while you have your hand on the trolley handle.
I use Samsung Health with phone in pocket and unless I'm walking really slow most steps are counted.

Nearly 14,000 steps yesterday and active for nearly 140 minutes. Tired.

Ive got the December stress blues so barley managing 5K at the moment.

Didnt even go for a walk this morning and my chiro was on my case about sitting too long again.

Hopefully after this week, will have a bit more motivation

I'll have to see if there is a "steps" app for my android.
Currently on holiday overseas, I'm walking for hours each day but I'm pretty sure the weight is going on, not coming off. When I get home I'll check but I'm pretty certain I'm now over 80kg.

Try Google Fit; works on my android and links to the QAssure App.

After spending all day inside due to the heat and indulging in Dominos for dinner, I felt lazy and went for a walk...

Have a 3month weight goal, currently 82.4kg and aiming for 77.5kg by end of March.

Maybe you won't even get to heaven.

Since returning to the office, the air con is killing me and I'm full of congestion. No energy to walk, and I was doing so well while on holidays.
