So, I applied for my mum who didn't have a velocity account at the time of opening the Amex card. Amex has given me the newly opened Velocity account number, but I have no way of logging in to the velocity frequent flyer website as:
1. I don't have a password
2. I don't know/tried the email I used for the application to request a new password.

Yeah well I've got all my personal details (name address etc) and membership #. I assume that should be enough. Just very poor form from either AMEX or velocity to not send out a membership pack etc. or email. Had to email Amex to find out the velocity # as it wasn't printed on the card.

Maybe that's the hope from Amex/Velocity, that some noobs who apply for this card forget to ask for the velocity membership # and/or can't be bothered getting their log in info, so then the points get forgotten and wasted.
