Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Haven’t seen a Summer Menu posted… yet

Thanks for posting, and good to see the galbi jjim ssam is hanging around - it was shown on the Qantas instagram page in a 'special additional menu' for the ICN inaugural flight. Hoping the bibimbap is a regular on the summer breakfast menu also.

Thanks for the MEL F summer menu @BrettV - I note still not bothering to show what the bubbles are.

Ah remembering the days when there were around 4 options including Bolly, Taitinger and so on. Long time back now...

Am I right in thinking that the last flight out of MEL for which the F Lounge is open for is QF155 departing at 23:25 to AKL?

I have a 1am departure to HKG in a week or so.

pre-covid I have experience that the J lounge (aka the dungeon) does stay open (if the house does not suit). got booted out of F lounge at 11pm ish for a >midnight MH flight and apologetially sent downstairs. That may also be an option - of sorts (though The House may be better).

Back on the topic of off menu coughtails…just managed to get a proper negroni, minus the orange twist, at a certain lounge. Friendly bar manager did say it was an absolute exception, however allowed the privelige after three terrible on the menu “coughtails”.

We had a good chat about the negroni sbagliato which they were serving previously. No match for the real thing.

Some first class lounges may need to follow suit.
