This one is selling for $10 at Dan https://www.danmurphys.com.au/produ...e-sand-road-mclaren-vale-shiraz-cabernet-2017
It depends. Bin 8 is made to be consumed when you buy it, not cellared for an extended period of time. if you are planning to drink it sometime soon then yeah. Not sure how it is going to age.@ Firstchoice Bin8 2012 back vintage $30 becomes $21.7 after 12% cashback/2000 flybuys (if you buy 2) - good buy?
tWF give the '12 a drinking window from 2018 to 2025+ and a reasonable scoreIt depends. Bin 8 is made to be consumed when you buy it, not cellared for an extended period of time. if you are planning to drink it sometime soon then yeah. Not sure how it is going to age.
And if you like this particular blend of course. Buying just for the sake of the discount would be foolish.
"forgotten barrels" gotta be a worry.....Also this one if you can get it delivered, bought it last year and was fine for the price
Had one earlier this year. The style is definitely not made for long term cellaring. I'd be drinking the 2012 immediately.tWF give the '12 a drinking window from 2018 to 2025+ and a reasonable score
That is exactly what I was thinkingHad one earlier this year. The style is definitely not made for long term cellaring. I'd be drinking the 2012 immediately.
They clearly just remembered this stash!forgotten barrels" gotta be a worry.....
The barrels were put in the wrong place in the winery and so got a couple of extra years of barrel time."forgotten barrels" gotta be a worry.....
I got the Roberto Sarotto from Kemeny's at $40 in Feb. Haven't opened one yet but looking forward to it!View attachment 250215
A few impulse purchases from Liquor Barons / Farmer Jacks, Subiaco. Diana Madeleines were $105 and the Barolos $60 and $80 respectively.
I think I recall this, but never bought! $40 was such a good price!I got the Roberto Sarotto from Kemeny's at $40 in Feb. Haven't opened one yet but looking forward to it!
Great find. Not meant to be the best vintage, but at $18 a bottle compared with $70 normally I’m sure I’ll be happy. Thanks!Hi everyone - first post, but I've been following for a long time.

I generally take Vivino lightly. 3.6 is actually very AVG for a wine that price, let alone above $20-30.Great find. Not meant to be the best vintage, but at $18 a bottle compared with $70 normally I’m sure I’ll be happy. Thanks!

Yeah Vivino is definitely to be taken with a pinch of salt but if you hit anything above four stars usually you are heading in the right direction.I generally take Vivino lightly, but a 3.6 is actually very AVG for a wine that price.
I normally look for people who write in-depth reviews, or have written plenty.Yeah Vivino is definitely to be taken with a pinch of salt but if you hit anything above four stars usually you are heading in the right direction.
I must say that it gives me a google giggle reading some of the reviews...there are some w@#kers out there! Myself included
