I have been eagerly waiting for your status update, Redbigot. Thank you so much for this heads up.

I almost ordered the lot, then realised I had a shopping cart of $3,000! So after drawing breath, I ordered a case each of the St Peters 13, the Dorrien 12, the Saltram No 1 12, and the Black Label 13.

I can't wait to try these - young and in many years to come ...

Well done.
I'm taking a little risk that they might close off the old code if it is used too much, but it's been around a few years and many of my subscribers have joined using it without any problems, so maybe they don't care.

I think this is the best offer from there that I've ever seen, trying hard to reach some half-yearly sales targets perhaps.

Redbigot...many thanks..

St Peters and the Lindemans Coonawarra shiraz / cabernet for now...
patience pays sometimes to wait for the right deal...

Great, now I've got to deal with TWE FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) on top of my mof_ FOMO. I'm a nervous wreck! Must not buy more wine. Must not buy more wine...

Good effort. Good prices. I've gotten some great bargains myself over the last week including 1999 d'Arenberg The Ironstone Pressings GSM for under $20 a bottle. Plus many other great aged wines (around 15 years old). If anyone's interested PM me and I'll send you the details. There is still at least 25 cases of this wine left.

Thanks, redbigot. Just a small contribution towards the half-yearly sales targets from me - a case of the Mamre Brook 2012 Shiraz.

Thanks docRalph but Langtons currently showing this out of stock.

Thanks, it is hard to keep up with events sometimes.

Grays have been running the Wine Investment Services Liquidation auctions weekly for a couple of weeks now. I bought a couple of cases, but not being sure of how these things have been stored, plus their extreme age, I'm a bit hesitant to splash out on too many bottles. Felt a lot more confident buying the stuff at Langtons, even though the wine is more expensive.

Some of the prices are ridiculously cheap though! Hard to believe all this stuff sat on the Wine For Life site for ages, in many cases clearly asking too much and now that its past it (perhaps) they are selling for a song. Some lovely wines in their prime though, there might be some gems in the rough.

Well, they tend to run up significantly in the dying minutes of the auction e.g. I think I paid $30-31 for the Mount Langhi Ghiran 2000, which is still cheap if it's good, but a far cry from the $10 or so that it was at a day before the auction closed. I think there were 60 cases as well. There was a guy from Melbourne(?) who bid on 40 of them.

Lindemans Pyrus down to $26.40/btl and St George 2012 down to $25.60/btl delivered in a sixer (cashrewards for an additional 3.5% off today) on winemarket ebay store using code 'CGIFT20' on checkout. That price is beating Vinomofo's old price ($31), and is about the best price I've come across on these. Also, these bottles aren't available on the standard winemarket site.....

For those who's managed to grab the Pyrus/St George, have you received yours yet? Still waiting for my St George's and now Winemarket have gone quiet when I message them on eBay. Might give them a call tomorrow.

I did order 3 bottles of VANYA from Cullen because they are pretty scarce and not available at retailers.
Then I went over to Dans to get 6 Diana Madeline and 6 Chandon Brut using pricepal, Woolies e-gift cards and free delivery.

My Pyrus 12 turned up within a few days of ordering it, and one bottle was duly dispatched for quality control purposes! I hear from others on this blog that the St George 12 is an advertising issue. They said WineMarket put the deal up mistakenly thinking they had the stock when they didn't. And they say WineMarket are trying to source the stock to honour their promotion, which I think is decent of them. But in PR world, silence is obviously golden when it comes to admitting your mistakes!
