Thanks, out of curiosity where did you see the term for cashback excluding Penfolds? I can't seem to see that exclusion on the CR app

or if you search for wildcard they come up too
I still like the underling Seppelts Chalambar when aged but when I had it with the St. Peters (a very honest rrp priced flagship wine imo) side by side..St Peters for $40! Bought. (Hoping of course it is St. P.)

Was just looking at the Beaucastel and Vietti myself!
The '12 Beaucastel is drinking superbly!

Not sure if the Mumm is classified as ‘wine’ though for CB purposes. Have been stung before with the wine vs champagne definition. Anyone have tracked cashback for champagne today at the higher rate?

Penfolds 389 and 2 riedel glasses for $86.
Not bad if you need the glasses. They retail for $59

I wonder what glass model are they providing now?

In the past I had received Riedel extreme glass, which I was really pleased of the quality.
But I saw the same glass model recently, not the same quality (thicker glass, thicker legs)... And of course no longer comes in individual round container.

Edit: I have just received an email from Penfolds states that it is the Riedel Extreme.

You need to buy a case not a single to get the glasses. Terrible deal given cellardoor pricing hence I've deleted the post

Nobody enjoys RWT / 389 / St Henri et al more than I do but I just couldn't bring myself to acquire glasses with PENFOLDS emblazoned on them.

Just wouldn't seem right whilst slurping other enjoyable labels IMHO.

Shouldn't gimmicky labeled glasses be restricted to the $1 giveaway sector? Obviously YMMV of course
