Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Received this - pretty much rubbish to be expected for $40 per dozen. Will make for a descent cooking wine and gifts etc

As was alluded before

2 x Squealing Pig Cheeky Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
2 x Saltram 1859 Barossa Shiraz 2022
2 x Wynns Coonawarra Estate Coonawarra Shiraz 2021
2 x Pepperjack Barossa Valley-McLaren Vale Tempranillo 2022

Black Label needs 10+ years to be enjoyable unless you are a masochis_. I've got a couple of 2008 and a few 2012 that are probably waiting for the odd cabernet fan at my wake.
And here I thought 8 years would have been enough! 2031 now in the calendar for this one.

Some reviews suggested the drinking window 2021-2032 and 2021-2041. That said, when I had it last year, I could not phantom that it would improve a lot with age.

There are some people (I know one) that enjoy young cellaring-style cabernets. But I've stopped buying them because I generally don't like them under 10-12 years and my partner will only tolerate some at 15+ years. And too often the fruit, oak and tannins mellow nicely, but the acid dominates and it's still not nice to drink, unlike a cuddly warm 5-10 yo Shiraz that you don't have to wait so long for. 😋

This is how I've felt about D'arenberg Coppermine road, couldn't understand the appeal unfortunately

Same on this one….I had one about 5 years ago and wasn’t impressed, so didn’t drink the rest…2013 vintage so maybe time to try again.

Heading says 2013, description says 2012. Comes up at $99 for me (not logged in), maybe because only 10 bottles left (Update: It let me order so I guess not). Code doesn't work with this offer.

The description closely matches this site - https://montarawines.com.au/product/2017-montara-chalambar-reserve-shiraz/ (different vintage) - which was strangely taken down today (I could get to it earlier today).
Received today and it's the wrong wine. They sent the Grampians 2013 shiraz/cab instead (which they listed separately, now taken down). Perhaps trying a secret switcheroo? Double check your boxes. Bottles had a lowercase j on the lid - which I think is their cheaper jimmy label.

Update: Your Wines claims wine is correct. "In order to reduce our carbon footprint, the warehouse has been re-using some of the outer boxes that we have on hand for packaging, however, that description on the box should have been covered or crossed out.". Guess we'll never know!

I just received mine and they are the same as your mentioned. Contacted Your Wines and received the same reply whilst I even didn't mention the cover wording are wrong. Highly suspicious. I don't mind using them as cooking wine if they don't taste good. Its just a bit rip off from this online store.

Trying to contact Montara wine regarding the identity of the wines from the screw cap.

Just wondered are all receiving the same wines?
