Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just delivered - 3 x orders for 2 botts 2012 Michael - limit was 2 botts / cust but as I indicated above just repeat repeat - interesting as Tommy pointed out the 2010 was same price but no bottle limit - go figure:

I pay the $50 unlimited delivery with Dan's - whilst I live 5min walk / 2min drive from a Dan's still so much easier to have it delivered to my office and $50 ann cap makes deals like this above work so well - but as always YMMV.

How did you go bc? Did yours arrive?

You're a very fast walker CE.

Lajolie Pinot Noir 750ml - Ourcellar.com.au

Any thoughts on this Pinot?

Free shipping and almost half off. I wouldn't go near an Aussie pinot for this price, but have been surprised by a few from Dan's before.

Seems to be generic Vin de France, doesn't seem to have overwhelming reviews at Vivino: https://www.vivino.com/wineries/francoise-chauvenet/wines/lajolie-pinot-noir-2013 - 2012 did a bit better: https://www.vivino.com/wineries/francoise-chauvenet/wines/lajolie-pinot-noir-2012

I guess you can't expect much for something that's an $18/bottle import.

Mine appears to be coming from QLD...ordered the 2010.

I just came across this website (link below). Is anyone familiar with it?

Tasting Sessions | Wine special offers. The best discount wine deals in Australia.

I'm the founder of this site. We're having fun trying to finding best deals wine deals we can.

We get affiliate money from some sites, but you'll see plenty of reviews where we get no incentive, and we're always up-front about any benefit we receive.

I haven't posted on here before, though I have had the occasional look. I'd love some feedback. Would people like me to post some of what we find? I've kind of avoided it so far as there are a few flame throwers who like to shoot down any self-promotion.

Some of you might be interested in the events section of the site. It's not just our own events, but loads of ones from around the country. There's no better way to find the wines you like than by tasting lots.

Let me know what you think.

I'm biased, because I run a (subscription) site that specialises in identifying good wine deals, with no affiliate money, but your coverage so far didn't seem too extensive or interesting to me.
For this one Mystery Old Vine Barossa Shiraz – My Wine Guy 2016-02-24 | Tasting Sessions, it's been discussed here and elsewhere, readily identifiable and I found the guesses and rating uninformed and maybe misleading when the identity is easily determined.
The wine identity (and discount code) was posted here and on Ozbargain, yet you seem to have missed it, previous offers elsewhere saw prices around $18pb after another discount code.

Good luck, but it takes a fair amount of time (and/or a fair number of people) to do this properly.

I would not agree with Tasting Sessions saying The Farms is similar to the GB Filsell. Very different wine, and both very nice imo.

AC refernced my earlier post identifying it as The Farms and I paid $18/bottle before Pricepal. I really wish I'd bought more...nice drop. :D
I'm not sure, but it smacks of: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....s-other-wine-deals-66250-288.html#post1399469 ((JH rating, note that it now costs >$100, old vine etc)

For some reason PP calculated he discount on $270 (not $245.45) so discount received was $22.44 for a final price for 12 of $193.56 or $16.13 bottle.
Why am I telling you all this? No reason really, I am just gloating. ;)

Any news on when this is happening?

The new single site is operational, cellardoor.co, they indicated members of the old site would be getting an invite, but this doesn't seem like it has happened yet.
The old site is still there, but limited items discounted.

If you are a member of the old site send them an email or message via the Contact us page and ask for an invite to the new site.

Nice. I've been holding off a gloat on an extraordinary deal I got for Veuve from Cellarmasters, but the time has come.... I got in with the 30% discount code before Veuve was magically out of stock and paid with a 5% discount WISH card and linked through from my company cash back scheme. The gift card was charged and the cash back tracked. The next time I used the gift card, the balance had gone up by the difference between the cost of the Veuve and what I had just bought. Free champagne.... then the cash back got confirmed :D. I got paid to buy 6 bottles of Veuve. Pretty happy with that.

I also got the 30% discount before it vanished...and 10% cashback on the original price. Ok so not free, but no complaints at $30 a bottle. Really need them to have big discount code again... Not sure I'd be posting that gift card glitch so openly though.

You're right that it takes time...we've got two people on this almost full time.

The example you picked out definitely isn't our best review! Looking back at my notes, we eliminated McGuigan Farms Barossa Valley Shiraz based on price as it's direct price is only $75.

We tend not to post mystery deals unless we're certain of the identity. Gretel just got frustrated with this one and wanted to put something up as she'd spent an hour trying to track it down.

Out of interest, are you still revealing the Vinofomo offers on your site?
