Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

PM sent re $25 credit Cracka referral.

Would you mind sending me a referral code? Thanks.

Just squeezed in at 2330 last night with the Langton's amex offer. With so many offers round atm I kept putting it off and only remembered at the last minute.

Me too! What did you end up getting? I bought the following:

Vickery 2016 Riesling - 6 - $114
Leeuwin Estate 2012 Chardonnay - 1 - $85
Clonakilla 2014 Shiraz Viognier - 1 - $90
Wynns V&A Lane 2014 Shiraz - 1 - $48

Many of the wines I was interested in were no longer available - St Henri, 389, Giaconda Chardonnay.

Decided to use my Winestar amex offer today. Purchased a $50 and $100 gift card with one card, then put through another purchase using my other amex and the vouchers. Total spend $300.88 = $200.88 after rebate. Bought a couple of Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier with my langtons offer, so wanted to add to my Clonakilla collection......

Thanks Prozac - muchly appreciated!

To save you the hunt (as you have saved me many times in black market wine deals) yes, very simple and straight forward to use more than one gift voucher per transaction unlike crackawines where you cannot use a coupon code if you use a gift voucher (and I don't think you can use multiple gift vouchers either, but haven't put it to the test)

Thanks Pharmaphlyer - never ordered from Winestar before, so appreciate the help!

AC the final payment step is the tricky one - unlike Dan's your purchase total doesn't decrease to reflect application of each individual Gift Voucher - as after applying ALL Gift Vouchers your purchase total will still appear same total amount.

You can overcome this by selecting 'Pay by Bank Transfer' which will leave you with a final total payable on a CC - I actually had to call Winestar to work this out - or just proceed with CC pmt and hope that the balance total you actually pay is indeed correct - which Winestar guarantee it will be. Whilst I was on phone to Winestar they actually took my CC details to finalise balance payment - a step you wouldn't need to undertake once you have used them once and kinda familiarise yourself with the process.

Yes, the final purchase price does not appear decrease by the amount of the gift vouchers, but as long as you have hit apply and put the amounts you want taken off the gift vouchers they will be processed. It is all reflected in the email invoice. Agree it could be much clearer on their website

Do you mean Direct Deposit?

So if you do this, they then send you a link to pay directly by AmEx?
Sorry YES Direct Deposit - if you select this then apply Gift Vouchers it will then leave a balance in your account payable to Winestar to complete the transaction - TMK this is only way to actually see what is outstanding and to make sure ALL Gift Voucher value applied - this was explained to me by Winestar phone rep - but he then took my CC details over the phone to finalise the transaction - I have no idea where it would have proceeded to if I had not paid the balance there and then whilst I was talking to him.

Does anyone have the 15% off code for United Cellars given to Star Privilege Pacific members?

1st Choice has free next day delivery to metro areas for orders placed today and tomorrow with no minimum spend:

When they offered it last week, I bought up on Punt Road pinot noir, due to a Flybuys offer of 2000pts on all transactions (not just one, and not just redeemable once)

However, even though they were separate orders and transactions on my credit card the same day, on my Flybuys activity they are combined into a single line item

Has anyone encountered this before?

Did you still end up receiving the bonus multiple times?

Confirmed 2000 bonus points received for each and every transaction :)

1st Choice also have 10% off all wine - and free delivery sitewide - using 10WINE today only

Thoughts on a 2011 penfold grange for $375?

I had an opportunity to buy it for a similar price recently and was of the view that it was not worth it.

2011 is a very poor year for grange.

Much better value elsewhere.
