Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Typical Dan's .... ordered 3 of the 2013 and 3 of the 2014, and got 3 bottles of 2012. Still waiting for the other half of the delivery!

This has happened to me time after time with DM online orders..this is how they get rid off all the loose bottles from other vintages ..supermarket style FIFO...lol
don't buy much of them anymore because of this

Usually with their reds, it's the other way around (so 2011 instead of 2010, for example). From memory 2012 was higher regarded than 2013, so you might be onto a good thing here.

But yes, I've stopped ordering from DM online for this reason. Has to be a bloody good deal (or a guaranteed vintage year from their "cellar release") for me to waiver.

Normally I'll do "click and collect", however this time I was lazy. Serve's me right. Unfortunately, I think it's the 2014 that was replaced with the 2012. I'll see what happens with the other consignment when it eventually gets to me ... from WA! (very weird)

Same problem really. So you expected 2010, you pick up 2011. They usually won't have the 2010 so go "oh well, want the 2011 or refund?". Not worth the hassle.

I'd rely on 2012 more than 2014. Check the reviews (usually on DM website ironically!) to see how well you ended up.

Does anyone have the 15% off code for United Cellars given to Star Privilege Pacific members?

1st Choice has free next day delivery to metro areas for orders placed today and tomorrow with no minimum spend:

When they offered it last week, I bought up on Punt Road pinot noir, due to a Flybuys offer of 2000pts on all transactions (not just one, and not just redeemable once)

However, even though they were separate orders and transactions on my credit card the same day, on my Flybuys activity they are combined into a single line item

Has anyone encountered this before?

Did you still end up receiving the bonus multiple times?

New offer today:

Spend $60+ in one transactions in-store each week for 3 weeks => Receive $45 gift card

In combination with $10 and $5 vouchers, and excluding any bonus Flybuys points, it effectively works out to be a 33% discount ($60 outlay for $90 value, 3 times) :)

Anyone else have such?

My partner has received a similar offer from LL - spend $40 each week for 3 weeks and receive a $50 gc. Still have the gc from last time about 6 months ago ...LL prices too high and range too limited.

Finally jumped onto the WineStar promo. Thanks to Daver6 for highlighting that they have Musar - unfortunately only one bottle left in stock :(

1 x Musar 2008
2 x Trinchero Clouds Nest Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 (Napa)
1 x Pio Cesare Barolo 2007
2 x Vincent Paris Granit 30 Cornas 2013 (Rhone)
1 x Chateau Loudenne 2010

$463 total less $150 in credits. Have another couple of Amex but not sure I have the energy to go through the process again.

The recent Winery Lane sale was also just too good to pass up - 50% off gift cards, and $75 sign-up bonus - managed to grab
6 x Castelli 2014 Il Liris Chardonnay (JH98)
3 x Castelli 2012 Il Liris Cab Blent (JH97)
for $225 all in ($25/bot)

AC, is the Winery Lane sale still on?

Even without the welcome75 code those gift cards offer great value for money. A case of 6 standard and 6 reserve Amelia Park wines becomes $200 delivered.

Langtons, winestar, Cracka, this.. It's been a tough month for wine budgets!

Did card still give 20% discount for 6+ bottle buys? Conditions say no further discounts. Thanks.

The 20% is shown for 6+ bottles eg Amelia Shiraz single $29 and 6+ $23.20.

I am stuck with a "useless' $50 gift card as the Woods Crompton 6pack sampler is considered 1 unit and "welcome75" is for 12 units. :(
