Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

My RWT arrived today...but that is where the happiness ends. I am sooo frustrated with DM. I have made 8 orders with them in the past 2 years, EVERY single order they have given me vintages that are not displayed as current.
The last 3 I have emailed them and specifically asked for the displayed vintages otherwise I didn't want them, and all three have been sent with wrong vintages, which of course can vary quite significantly. I know, first world problems but honestly, it is more about the incompetency and sheer lack of care factor from them. Unfortunately we don't have any DM's in the state so it is not like I can exchange it. No more orders from this boy.

On the website the 'current vintage' is always marked with a * and a note that vintage may vary. I've ordered cellar release and still got the wrong vintage before...

my mystery mix finally arrived.

Mate, get some friends over, make it a judging night and just drink them all in one sitting. ;) Problem gone and you've had a fun night.

Oh I got the 2012, haven't had any issues with wines they advertise the vintage in the title. Just wines in the $20-$50 range where they have the * and no vintage indicated in the title. But still, when ordering $50 bottles and you specify you want the 2012 as indicated and you get average 2011's, it's pretty darn annoying. Most have been in the $20-$40 range but I wouldn't of paid the money had I have known I wouldn't be getting the vintage as advertised. I do understand that it may happen on occasion, but to have it happen in every single order is just ridiculous.

did you order the delivery deal from last week? Because that was 2012...

Yep, that's why I made the order, otherwise I wouldn't of done it. I thought while I was getting some RWT I might as well grab a few others, surely it couldn't happen again!? Well.....

So no issue with the RWT vintage, just other orders?

For those looking for a decent quaffer at a reasonable price. I received an email from Dans with a member exclusive of Brands Laira Blockers Cab Sav for $15, I'm assuming it's the 2012 as they say JH rated it 95 points. The email mentions member first access until 3pm aest so I'm thinking it may be available to all after 3pm.

Fairly good deal (now available to everyone), especially given you don't have to buy 6 and you can use click and collect + WISH cards + cash back (saving even more). Works out to be $12.83 a bottle!

It a good drop. I bought 9 bottles recently. Sadly not at this price.

It needs a few years, 5 maybe. Don't start be on Dan's crazy delivery fees for Darwin, but with all the discounts if you can get it for $12-13 per bottle I'd suggest stocking up.

When collecting my Blockers I had a bit of a rummage in the Dans bargain bins, found the 2013 Rymill the Yearling Cab Sav for $7ea.
