Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

My Cellarmasters Maverick blend finally turned up yesterday...only two weeks after I ordered it.

My click and collect went missing so they direct shipped me a new one.

I'm waiting for a Click & Collect too. I called CM the other day and they told me delivery had been attempted to my local BWS when it was closed.... WTF! Seriously, who tries to deliver to a business outside of business hours. Surely CM's contract with their delivery firm states the opening hours of BWS....

I'm still waiting for the SMS/email notifying to collect my order.

The irony of this is that the delivery company is NexDay, which I understand is owned by WW! Interesting that they don't charge for click and collect, even though the boxes are couriers individually, the same as they would be to your home!

Sadly, I'm still waiting for my Winery Lane delivery that I placed around 3pm on 3 September. I think I was one of the early buyers of the Amelia Park Reserve Cab Sauv 12s, but still nothing. I noted the issues on here a few weeks back, so haven't chased. Have others got their orders for the AP 12s yet?

I ordered mine on the 3rd, and received it on the 28th. They reply quickly to emails - I got a response straight away (they needed to get more stock), and then a tracking number a few days later.

Mate, you will need to chase until you can get a tracking number.

I ordered the same beautiful wine to goo with the three dozen I bought from the Fo early last year. I too am waiting, but I did ring and inquire. They told me that they are busy defrosting the grapes from that vintage, a vintage so damn good that like ivf frozen embryos, they froze tonnes of the grapes. The only problem is their rebirthing /defroating process started on the 4th of september, just after wozzas order and to bring the grapes back from cryogenicity necissates a daily increase in temperature of about 0.65 degrees celcius. Now, they were chilled at minus twenty eight, so to all those folks who worked out doctor ralphs stock holding, and his age, you can work out when these new babies will be born. Keep waiting Wozza, won"t be too long.

Now, if you hadn,t missed it, that was step one in the process. Like adolf, first we get the grape juice. So Wozza, after that, we introduce a little fast maturation technology. Here I sit in a subway eating a pizza sub and it took only fourteen seconds to toast my roll. Wait till you hear what they will do to Amelia.

Lastly, you sure it wasn,t Whinery Pain you ordered from?

What have they put in that Sub of yours, BF!! Double it to a Foot Long!

Thank you, vedder50. Looks like I should based on what AC has said.

What! I ordered mine before you, didn't I!?

Looks like I better follow up with an email then. I hate chasing up (I do that for a day job!).

I ordered mine late, on the 15-Sept and they arrived on 27-Sept. I would definitely be chasing them up.

My click and collect arrived at my local BWS yesterday, 2 weeks from the order date. No SMS or email from them... I happened to check the order status before I left work and saw that it was now 'delivered'.

Not the quickest service, but at least it all arrived safely.

No idea where I'm going to put it all!

Im about to begin a summer online buying hiatus. Heat damage is a very real problem from now on for me and I'm not willing to take the risk. Unless something astonishingly good comes up of course....

I bet you a bottle of 'something nice' from Wozza's collection that you WILL purchase something between now and the end of the Summer ...!!

I have followed through before, so happy to help you stick to your buying amnesty.

If you stick to it, I will make sure it's over $100 retail. If you fail, well, at least you get whatever the 'astonishingly good' wine is instead!

Challenge on. Be honest.

Well, that's an incredibly generous offer Wozza....you're on. If I cave in I will tell you and give you a bottle of whatever it is I end up buying. :-)

No such issues here in Melbourne, for better or worse. There's a yellow thing in the sky today, not something we've seen much of lately! Buying freezes due to lack of budget or space still abound though.

Great. You are on (although you don't have to give away a wine in return).

And, can you imagine the offer you would have to make to Dr Ralph to stop him buying for a few months! Maybe we should all club together and get him his birth year of Grange or Hill of Grace, and see if that would be enough to keep him from wine buying!!

Wozza, please PM me with your name and I will follow-up immediately for you. Cheers, Steve

Thank you to Steve and Winery Lane for following up with me so quickly.

It turns out Aus Post delivered it to my office on 9 September, less than a week after the order was placed. I have no idea where it is (the vagrancies of delivering to an office)! But at least Winery Lane did their bit, and in good time.

My apologies (and thanks) to Steve and the team.
