Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thank you to Steve and Winery Lane for following up with me so quickly.

It turns out Aus Post delivered it to my office on 9 September, less than a week after the order was placed. I have no idea where it is (the vagrancies of delivering to an office)! But at least Winery Lane did their bit, and in good time.

My apologies (and thanks) to Steve and the team.

Sounds a bit like my bws missing wine drama. Hope you locate yours.

Yikes. I hope you find it. A lot can happen to a case of wine in a month!

I've given up getting deliveries made to work. I tried it three times and only once was the wine delivered to the correct location. The first time it was delivered to the wrong building and left behind an empty (and abandoned) reception desk. I don't know how they even got into the building. They must have run into the cleaners. It took me 2 days to search it out and find it. The second time it was delivered to the right building, but was left at the wrong floor at an unattended reception desk. When the receptionist returned they had no idea a case of wine had been stashed behind their desk. I now use Parcel Point pickup where available, or have it delivered to a secure home location otherwise.

That is bad luck, DB. I've had a gazillion cases delivered by various delivery companies to the office. This is the first one to go astray. It's two 6 packs, so it must be here somewhere! Here's hoping, as I really like that Cab Sauv.

If not, then it was clearly not meant to be. We'll see ...

Are you sure about that? There were chopped off delivery labels on orders. So it could've gone anywhere. Only the logistics company would possibly know what was printed on the label (and that's unlikely) - Winery Lane won't know.

Also be sure to check you got everything you ordered. I didn't.

Winery Lane simply has too many problems right now, from the top down, to be considered suitable for business at this time. They've lost me as a customer.

Mine were delivered by Aus Post, so maybe start by looking in the mail room (if such an archaic beast still exists in your organisation).

Sounds like you've had worst luck than me. I've seen the Aus Post delivery note, and our office manager confirmed it was her signature. The delivery guy wouldn't bring it in, and it was too big for our office manager to carry. So it sounds like it was left out in the lobby area. So who knows.

It certainly isn't a Winery Lane issue. I'm pretty sure of that.

This thread just reminded me about a cellarmasters stuffup. Only 2 of 3 boxes arrived at BWS. I called a month ago and they promised to "get back to me". Haven't heard a word. Thanks for the reminder!

Did you eventually end up with everything you ordered? It wasn't clear to me from your post.

Since I mentioned earlier that I also had an issue, I'll take this opportunity to say that I'm in surplus from Winery Lane right now. Due to a picking error I ended up with six incorrect bottles, but the correct six arrived today. So now I have everything that I ordered and I'm just awaiting contact from the logistics company about picking up the ones that I didn't.

It's taken a while and been a bit inconvenient but they've done the right thing by me and I'd personally be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on another order, on the assumption that they have hopefully learned some lessons. Although, if you ended up out of pocket and never received some of your order, that would give me pause.

Mavericks (GSM and cab blend) back up on Cellarmasters at $120 per 12
I got some at under $5, but considering going back for more...does anyone know of any current coupon codes?
The only one I can find is 5SENIOR which gives you 5% off so after wish cards, cash back etc the case is about $100 - still pretty good value...

Ive had a couple of wayward deliveries at my work. Tracking showed that had been delivered but they werent on our floor. Went to the mailroom in the other building, not there. So went down to the hospital mail room in the basement. Not there either; the girl running the mail room thought they were too big and didnt want them in her mail room so sent them to the post office, but didnt bother to let anyone know. If we hadnt gone looking, we'd never have found them...

For your sake I hope so.

Ameilia-gate is over! The two boxes have been found. My business partner thought they were his and he has them!
