How hot has it been while stored if it needs to be cooled to 20C?
1986 is reputed as a great vintage. I'd imagine at least a couple of hours in the decanter though and would surely need to be decanted for sediment.
'86 was a stellar vintage but this is an '84, bottled '86, lol! It's Grange, it's exceptional! Like any of my reds no warmer than 18*c when actually imbibed which could well mean cooler prior to decant, pouring etc. Purchased a few for the cellar b4 GFC when they were less than ridiculously priced. Pennies prices have indeed gone north relative to income of late across the board, unfortunately, as most of their range cellars well. That said my cellar runs at a constant 15*c/70% humidity even in Qld summer. It was 41*c in Eumundi on Friday! Sparkling Grange anyone?
