Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Steady do you have an on line link for the deal?

Having a closer look the link takes me to a page with all of my personal details already entered.

It seems to have been specifically sent out to people who purchased the Vintec cellar during the Penfolds promotion last year

Thx for trying. Did the original Penfolds/Vintec offer, not last year, which will be why I didn't receive the offer. Shall enquire at a local retail outlet.

Got the email from Vintec, it's a good offer.
Now I hope epiQure will come out with a good points offer as well to get some "free" wine before claiming the free Magnum :D

Just got the Vintec email too.
To buy or not to buy, that is the question.
I have purchased 2 doz in the last 2 days so can I stretch some more $$$ for wine???

Or buy one of the wines eg Wynns Shiraz from Winemarket, use TIMEFLIES voucher at checkout for $50 off, making the Wynns less than $10 a bottle, and then claim the Wolf Blass magnum? Is Winemarket "a retailer"?

Thanks for the tip. What is Timeflies?

I am drinking a Wynns Coonawarra CS 2012 at this very moment. :)

Just got an offer from the "Penfolds Vintec" team - spend $100 and get a free $70- Wolf Blass

TWE1407_header.jpg

Receive a free Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz Magnum valued at $70 when you spend $100 on Penfolds (excluding Koonunga Hill, Thomas Hyland and Rawsons Retreat), Wolf Blass (excluding Eaglehawk & Red Label), Wynns, Devils Lair (excluding Fifth Leg), Seppelt, Pepperjack and Coldstream Hills wines in one transaction during the promotion period for off premise consumption from any licensed liquor retailer in Australia, includes online purchases

Looks like a good offer. Anyone see anything about a postage charge?

Watch out, you need to have actually got one of those Vintec fridges to be able to take part in the deal.

When you go to claim it asks you to verify your email address, and doesn't let you proceed if it doesn't match with their list.

Your message posted about 9 minutes too late for me. :(

Is the Pinfolds Winemakers Selection any good?

I have not tried it Buzzard. Since your post I have researched online to find this description on Winemarket;
"Something like a little brother to the famous Bin 389.
It tastes like a classic Penfolds red should; packed with rich dark fruit, plums and chocolate from the Shiraz, cassis and cedar from the Cabernet. It’s rich, full bodied and smooth. Juicy, soft and oh so delicious, the sort of wine that sees bottles empty like magic."
Reading buyer reviews on different sites, views vary 50/50 with more than one person noting that the wine lacks body. Pity.

Nothing special at Penfolds this morning. Was tempted to get some Seventy Six but as it is a Koonunga Hill variant it might be excluded from the magnum offer.
Not worth the risk I thought.
