Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just for clarification in case this helps others, the welcome75 code does require a minimum purchase of 12 bottles (in the fine print on the offer). I first tried to grab a 6, but when the code didn't work I only then looked at the fine print. Update to 12 and it works fine.
Ah yes, sorry had forgot to mention that. My maths on the bottle prices included it!

Yes, that seems to have been the problem. Thanks!

It's a resurrection!

The original Winery Lane site closed down a few years ago.

But the new one doesn't have the same deep-discount model as the old one, just a standard 20% off 6 or more.
Bought 1 case unlabelled Ross Estate CabSav for $132 in May 2013. Good stuff still have a few bottles left.
Ross was sold to Chinese interests.

Also bought a case of Block 88 Shiraz 2011 Barossa by Hewitson July 2013.

WL was then placed under liquidation soon after. At least I was THERE ;)

Now it's resurrected. From the ashes rises the phoenix.

Interestingly I received a refund invoice from Winemarket a few days ago, and in the Brand/Web Site label it had 'WineryLane'...

I got the refund to my AMEX card very quickly. I think I mentioned this before.

I did loose a $30 birthday credit that I had used for the offer (one time code).

After a lengthy and meticulous discussion of the relevant law, there was a very generous gift provided by Cellar Masters and an acknowledgement that I 'could' have been mislead by their advertisement - but I have been asked not to comment publicly on that.

Thanks for the update. Sound like chasing it up was worth your time :)

The winemakers reserve is a terrible pinot, thin and watery, lacking in serious fruit and on a par with a cottees cordial. Their other ranges included some beauties so Randal Tomich still fights another day.

Went for a couple of these doc and took the opportunity to top up the bar as well with 5% off ewish card via Pricepal for a further 5%.

Agree. Good quaffer at about $10.50 a bottle. But been having a few problems with cashrewards not tracking so might have to try pricepal instead.

I'm thinking about picking up a few of these to assist in storing the vast amount of red wine I appear to have bought this winter over the summer months.

I have a decent underground garage which keeps the general temperature fairly low in the summer but heat can get in when the door is opened etc and subject it to fluctuations.

Does anyone have any past experience using this type of thing?
