Every time I buy a voucher, the email comes addressed to TomVexille. If he buys a voucher, it also comes addressed to him. How hard is it to address the person that actually made the purchase?

Same reason whenever I book a flight for me and mrsOpusman together, the email comes addressed to her. I think it's just alphabetical on first name or something.

This annoys me so much i book separate to others now and get annoyed when someone links bookings.
As a SG travelling with a NB because the NB's surname is alphabetically before mine the bag tags come out under the NB so there is no priority on them. (lets not get into how baggage doesnt work, i like the momento in my name)

Anyway this is off the DSC topic a bit.

I know this is OT, and maybe we should start a thread about short turn around in NOU...but EF gives a MCT of 1 hour for NOU for Intl to Intl connection and QF91/92 is 55 minutes connection. The same day QF91/92 cannot be booked on QF.com. I'm no travel agent, but this looks suspicious. Hopefully I'm wrong!

You raise an interesting point, but I feel I'm protected, given it's all on one ticket. Obviously, I'll have to have a chat with QF and crew on the day and hope they can assist as I'm leaving on the same plane I'm arriving on, so it's less a connection and more a continuation... in my eyes at least. I'm doing a milk run. :p

I'm sure the QF crew will understand, the fun part would be the French border agent...but they usually don't ask questions! I would love to explain to a French border agent that I'm flying around the world only to collect miles and status credits! He will most likely doubt of your sanity! Mais Monsieur...c'est pas normal!!!

If you can't get ticket issued in Australia, when onboard ask the crew to contact the NOU agent and let them know.

I did this with CX in 2007 doing a turnaround in KHI - CX staffer met me, took my passport landside (without me) issued ticket and came back - I stayed airside the whole time (back in the days of $5k ex-KHI DONE4s

I am not sure if you will be protected as you are terminating your inbound flight and commencing your outbound flight.
Or the other way around. You know what I mean.
The point is you are not in transit. You are completing one journey and commencing another.
I don't know if you are protected in that situation.

Customs doesn't take long but baggage can - if you are travelling HLO you might be okay!

They'll have a ticket - do you mean boarding pass?
 
I think it's more likely that a QF J sale to NZ will start at 12:01am tonight...
Well, so it took only 48 hours! QF has just started a NZ J sale: AKL is now $599, WLG is $649 and ZQN $699 from MEL

That was going to be my plan. As soon as I'm in the air have a chat to crew and get something organised for when I'm on the ground. :)

Status runs necessitate HLO. I've never checked a bag for silly routings as it's bound to cause problems.

More "Simple" I would think.

It is probably like:

IF CurrentMemberStatus == Bronze then Send Silver email
IF CurrentMemberStatus == Silver then send Gold email
IF CurrentMemberStatus == Gold then send Platinum email
IF CurrentMemberStatus == Platinum then Send P1 email
IF CurrentMemberStatus == PlatinumOne then JustDontBother

I didn't get a "shoot for P1" email. Current bookings before the offer had me fine to re-qual WP (am at 940SCs at the moment, end Sept is my date). Kidlet didn't get a "get back to SG" email. :p
I let +1s QF emails go directly to him, so who knows. Perhaps I was excluded because I enrolled us all in the promotion hours after hearing about it here or elsewhere.
 
A friend got an email encouraging him to aim for WP despite already having forward bookings to take him to WP and having already registered for the promo.

Same here, blackcat20. Even in some bookings when I've selected me as the primary booker! It seems to always default to alphabetical order. :(
