When I got my DSC offer the deal was flights booked 1/12-31/12/2013.

Last night flying BNE-TSV there was an announcement via the inflight entertainment that it was for bookings "up to Christmas Eve" - 24/12/2013.

Just a heads up.

Yeah I noticed that as well the other night and though it was strange. My email confirmation says until 31st Dec.

Go with the email.

I've lost count of the number of times I've got a DSC offer when all my flying in the qualifying period has just been booked a week earlier meaning I miss out. I know QF is looking for extra business with these offers but an occasional retrospective offer would generate a lot of goodwill for those of use who have already demonstrated loyalty.

How about it Red Roo?

Did anyone who had already registered for the double SC get a 'final call' email inviting them to register again?
I'm slightly worried that the points for last weeks run to TSV may not come through now.

Luckily I have the email confirmation should I need to follow up...

Yep I got it too. I wouldn't stress!

As per the last line in Section #2 of the T&C it says up to 6 weeks.
Read through the many threads from this and previous SC offers, the real-world results from the hoi polloi suggest between 1-2 weeks after travel is common.

Cheers!
Did not know they credited separately.

They started in 2001 so there has been a few, and never retrospective as there is nothing in it for QF.
I don't know about 2001, but my first ever was in early 2009 - and indeed was "retrospective".

With that one, any earning flights flown during the promotion period were indeed eligible eve if from previously existing bookings.

There is also reference to one in 2004, but there's precious little info there. http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-flyer-program/double-scs-promotion-5887.html

I flew on the first day of this promo, that was now almost two weeks ago and no sign of the bonus SCs yet.

You booked and flew on the first day of the promo?

Just wanted to confirm if anyone knew, that bookings made with gift vouchers in December 2013 for travel in Dec 2013 - Jan 2014 will count towards double SC promotion?

If you buy the voucher in December and book in the promo period all should work automatically.

What would be interesting is to experiment with vouchers purchased in December.

Yep. Registered at about 6am, got email confirmation about 10mins later, booked about 6:45am for a 9:30am flight.

I had waited for the month to roll over before booking after RedRoo posted here about the DSC offer. It was a milkrun route with lots of spare capacity so low risk of missing out.

the waiting is killing me ... I did 4 flights SYD-MEL-SYD in last 2 weeks ... all booked in Dec so all qualify for SC.

these would basically get me to WP but when I rang customer service today, they said it takes up to two weeks AFTER the promotion ended (which is end JAN). Thats bull**** as I could be enjoying nicer lounge and priority boarding but instead, I have to wait 2 months.

Qantas, this is not a great system. Why cant you simply apply the bonus SCs right away ? what is the issue?

Something about "gift horses" and "mouth".

Seriously though, read the terms and conditions. They're simply sticking to them. Under Promise, and Over Deliver. Every other double SC promo i've seen the double SC's come in well before the end of the stated term, which is more than you should ask for.

(and see the priority boarding thread, you're not missing out on much most the time :P)

Interesting

Just spoke with a CSR who advised that it will not be untill january to get the DSC credited to the account and then when checking he said looked like I may not be entitled to them as the flights were booked on the 30/11/12 not after 1 December. I assured him they where and he has confirmed that it was but due to the system date being based elsewhere it would not have allocated DSC. PLEASE CHECK IF YOU BOOKED ON 1 DECEMBER.

the CSR Anthony has just rang me back and confirmed he has now manually entered the DSC onto my account Woooohooo P1 woooohoooo
