Double Status Credits 2011

Well my first lot of double SC's posted today.. unfortunately my trip last month was booked last year so it didn't count! not too worry.. my debate is whether I do a trip somewhere (not a pure SC run) and maybe fly in F to experience it! hmmmm..

Or 34 months of not having to worry about being a status lower than Gold .

That is true too. Maybe get Platinum and then status match with Virgin could be good too. Will have to take a look and see what their baggage allowances are like.

Exactly why I'm doing a SC run during this promotion... my normal flying is only good for somewhere between Silver and Gold, and I figure 18 months of plat + 12 months of Gold is well worth the cost.

Apparently I qualified for this... Did a simple MEL-BNE Y journey earlier this week and on my account it's showing double SCs! I can't say I remember doing any survey or anything... This will be good for my HBA Express run next month which I luckily booked after 10th May... Lovely!

They are offering a test drive of the lounge for QF SG/WPs, I would suggest that they may well take your details and possibly make an offer down the track, its what happened to some who took up the first test drive offer!

Anything special you need to do to take the "test drive"? Or just walkup to DJ lounge reception, tell then you're a QFF SG/WP and ask if you can try it out?

Did mine last May and still have not got my status credits nor silver as this would have taken me well over the required status credits. Have phoned twice and sent 2 emails - nothing ! They say it takes 6 weeks to show up on my FF site? No wonder we are flying Emirates business class this year for the first time ever in lieu of our Qantas - always been very devoted and 2 million pionts with Qantas??

It's double status credits, not double points, and all you need to do once registered is book a flight and fly it within the period specified. I thought it ends at the end of July?

Mine all posted within 5 days of taking the flights. I had 3 trips to SYD as JASA's. All have posted. I have another trip to BNE next week so I expect they will post by the Tuesday the following week (return flight is on the Saturday)

I got an international double credited the next day, but I am waiting for Brissy from Monday. My big double is MEL-SIN-LHR next week, the doubling will kick me back to WP so I want that for return flight.

My JASA status points came 1st for the flights and I went silver, a week later the status bonus points arrived and I went gold, about 2 weeks later I received the new bag tags and silver card, few days after that I received gold card and more tags!.

Can you let us know when you recieve them. I did some flying this week which qualifies and just have the standard credits on my account. It would be interesting to know exactly what time frame the extras will appear and when you should chase them up.

It took nearly six weeks for the extra status credits to be credited to my account and that was after several emails and 3 phone calls until a finally spoke to a gentleman who organised the double SC to appear. I am only 20 SC off gold now, so will have that hopefully in another couple of weeks. I stkill have not received the tags or new card for silver, so assume that should be any day although my eticket shows silver/ruby OW on it today as I have just flown into Brisbane from Cairns. So far means nothing as mu luggage took 25 minutes to appear, nearly at the end of all others after also flying business.
