Do xASAs earn DSCs? The e-mail says:

Which seems a pretty clear 'yes'. Anyone know for sure?

They have in previous promotions.

I did three JASAs late last year with a DSC offer and they all credited properly.

I got it. I don't need it. A pity because mrs GPH could have done with it. I am already doing enough to retain WP.
It would be nice to have a booking window that also doesn't restrict too heavily the actual flight dates. Oh well maybe next time.

I got it. My SC reassesment happens on 31st May - have already done enough flying to retain silver and the timeframe seems too short to get to gold for me.

Got mine today!
Bit annoyed as I booked a JASA PER -KAL points plus pay a few weeks ago but now can't use it. Cancelling just gives a voucher for $426, rebooking using cash would cost $1100, and not getting the points refunded means I don't have enough points to rebook that way.
Worth calling and asking to note to add the double? Missing out on 80 extra SC is going to suck

As Mal mentioned there may be penalties. But you are (usually, depending on fare rules) entitled to a points refund on JASA. To get that refund you need to call them on the phone. Online will only give the ridiculous cash refund.

I got the offer but my assessment year ends on 30 April...Planning to do a status run late April, and need the DSC to get Platinum...what happens if the DSC are not credited till after 30 April? Do they count to the new year or last year?

My reassesment is 30 June, no DSC for me this year (as of yet). Looks like it wont be happening either!

Got one last year when I didnt need it, however would have been a great incentive for me to stick with QF this year.

They'll credit for the year the flight was taken so no problems getting your WP.

Reading that I think it means if you've qualified for two DSCs only one DSC promo will apply and you will only get twice the amount of SCs instead of 3 or stacking them to get 4.

I'm really excited - I got one and have never quite made it to silver before - thought you had to be airline royalty to get these - now where to start....
I'm waiting to see if I was successful in the ballot for Wimbledon tickets- will find out in 2 weeks. That will be the double jackpot!

Is it crazy to book the following
MEL - CBR - SYD - BNE - TSV overnight then return via same route. Double status credits would have me get Gold in that run at a cost of 200,000 points on JASA.

Is this stupid. I've already booked a return to MEL-SYD-DFW-LAX-MEL in November however i wont earn double status credits but thought it might help with an imaginary upgrade.

I got my first DSC offer but it won't help me. I'm gold until 30 June 2014 and need 370 SC by 30 June 2013 to get to Platinum. I've already booked a HKG trip that will earn 140 SC in late May and don't plan any other travel between now and the end of June. I wonder why I got it - nowhere near Platinum really and have Gold for over 12 months still.

I also received the DSC offer this week, but can't see that I will use it. I have requalified for SG with my year finishing end of Jul. Whilst I have requalified for SG I am too far off WP to even bother trying for it. Really not sure why they sent it to me, unless everyone is getting the offer.

It depends how valuable Gold is to you and how many points you have available to burn. I'm thinking about doing my first JASA with the DSC but also sometimes think I'm being silly. I'm trying to find a good route where I can knock off 240 SC in one go from Sydney without having to overnight anywhere and I just don't think it can be done. I'll be in the same boat with you on a convoluted route and an overnight somewhere random. Why not?

You need how much in total? 240SC, or 480SC (240 doubled)? if only 240, a JASA to Adelaide will get it done.
