Double Status Credits 2013

There's a long back story to this but :
I was offloaded from a QF link flight last week and put onto the next JQ flight.
BP said "sold as QF xyz"
Was in the process of chasing up ORC as flight booked and eligible for double SC's promo.
The JQ flight ended up posting at full Y and the double SC's posted today  :D
Red Roo cover your eyes ;)

Compensation for the involuntary service downgrade ;)

In the middle of October with 460 SC in the bank, due to expire on 31 Dec, I didn't think I would make SG, but a couple of days later bliss - the DSC email. A quick 2 sector + return trip yesterday has netted 320 SC so now SG (when they are credited). I am pretty sure I activated the offer and printed the activation receipt, although I can't find it now.

Thinking about the 620 (only 320 DSC) to go for WP now. :)

Very similar to myself back in Sept I had requalified for Gold but a long way from WP. With a DSC promotion the temptation for WP was too good to miss.

New member with a tragic question ;)

I received the DSC email a few months ago, clicked the email to register. Now I can't for the life of me remember if I booked my upcoming flight there and then or a later session.

If in fact I did book at a later session, will the DSC still be credited as long as I travel before Nov 30th? Any way to check?

Thanks!

As long as you booked after registering, and travel before the DSC offer end date, you should be fine.

Just curious, has anyone with Jan 31st requal deadline received a DSC offer this month?? Usually out the first 10 days of the month (when you're 3 months out from end of membership year) but I haven't seen anyone posting about getting the offer this time round... an 'enhancement' perhaps?? I hope they're not a thing of the past

Not here. Mind you I did receive a DSC earlier in the year, so was not expecting a second one.

Out of interest, does your DSC offer exclude ASAs in U class, or was that just Qantas dipping their toe in the water of enhancement, so to speak.

No it didn't. I've booked 3 MASAs by ringing and saying I want to book an ASA in uniform class. Will make WP by first week in Dec. My eligible flight cond is as follows:

An eligible flight for the purposes of this promotion means any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status credits are normally earned. Status credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Award flights and Qantas codeshare flights (i.e. with a QF flight number on the ticket) operated by Jetstar other than in Economy booking classes Y, B, H or K (earn in L class is eligible only when travelling on a oneworld® fare product). Qantas Segments booked in X, U, Z or P classes are eligible to earn Points and Status credits only when booked as part of a Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award. See Airline Earning Table for details.

Removing U from eligible flights would make things harder.

I'm pleased to hear that. As you are probably aware there were a few disturbing posts a month ago where ASAs in these classes were excluded from the offer.

My DSC expires in 10 days or so - unused !

1160 SCs in the bank with 4-5 trips to do before end of membership year (June 2014)

Wish I could flick my DSC to some of you guys here.

I thought mine was going to end up the same way, fortunately I had an extra domestic trip come up. I also re-arranged an existing dom booking from VA to QF and I guess that's the point of the entire exercise as far as QF's concerned ;)

I let a DSC offer for April to June lapse without taking advantage of it. When I received another one for August to October, I made full use of this "Golden" opportunity with a last minute JASA to SIN on 31 October!

I'd love a DSC offer, best I ever got was a 1.5x offer which was good, but nowhere near as good as the 2x DSC offer...

1 day after Platinum....LOL!

Remember to include your Frequent Flyer number in your next booking and you'll automatically earn 50% more Status credits on every eligible flight* booked and travelled during the promotional period.

Mrscove has the same one as you suparockin and it came in this afternoon. She can test her platinum shadow perhaps or maybe go to Adelaide for some Haigh's chocolates. A run up the east coast is another possibility.

No DSC, but I did get a 1.5x this afternoon. (Also got a DSC mid-year, but was silly enough to not take advantage of it :( ).

LOL. Got the offer a couple of hours after I made a number of bookings. I requaled for plat ages ago, so SCs pretty useless to me now (I won't be reaching P1), so I'm ambivalent.

But I looked closely (this time! :) ) at the dates and conditions. It says to register and book between 22 Nov and 22 Feb 14. Well I did both of that - except I happened to have booked on the 22nd before I registered on the 22nd. Wonder if I'll get the extra SCs :D

I also received the offer but its 50% more points not SC - needed a SC offer to get me over the line for gold.
