I can do dummy booking for SYD-HNL return for Jan 23-24 2019
Oh No. Not FC.
And then the company travel agent threw a spanner in the works. The travel policy dictates we need to go through the agent (a Flight Centre company) and they are too fancy for this stuff: "We are unable to accept Qantas gift vouchers as they are for use directly with the carrier."
In other words, I need to make my bookings through their system which goes direct to Qantas booking system without manual intervention. Bum, was hoping to get an extra 200SC from my east coast hops...
Travel Agents cannot touch gift vouchers for bookings AFAIK. It’s not because they are too fancy, it’s just not actually possible.
Less than allowed MCT?Can’t get Amex Travel online to book a return flight on one day with a 40 minute gap in OOL or CNS. Was hoping to book that. I guess I’ll settle for not getting DSC on the trip I use this for.
That’s not a Flight Centre issue. If you buy a gift voucher it is part Payment for a booking directly with Qantas. It’s pretty clear when you buy the gift voucher what the redemption options are.

But I can book what I want directly with QF, but then I can't use the $450 travel credit. Frustrating.Less than allowed MCT?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
This is not a QF issue, this is an issue with booking through Amex Travel which is a separate website. It's not showing all the options that it should be imo. If I rang QF they'd just tell me to go to Amex, I would think. Anyway I'll use the travel credit for a short domestic trip that wouldn't earn much anyway at some point.Might have to 131313

It's the same plane turning around after 40 minutes.
Definitely an AMEX thing. Had the same issue last year. Flight option not showing despite it is available to book direct with QF.
I called up AMEX this afternoon wanting to know why I was only shown the discount fares and not FLEX fares. They told me they are only given certain fares & flights by QF to sell on Amex Travel.
No idea if that's true or not - either way was frustrating I couldn't book my FLEX fare using my credit.
Its not as if Amex takes what is given. Amex and QF would have some agreement as to which fares Amex can sell, the wholesale price, and for what commission??. Either way its not proper disclosure. Does Amex disclose that the travel credit is only valid for some fares and not all fares are displayed?
That's not exactly true.I think because it’s a PNR created by the airline and therefore cannot be mofdified by a TA?
