In the email terms and conditions it says “Status credits will not be earned on flight vouchers”. I can’t see this on the registration page.

Well thats a bugger

My email has no such wording.
There are no T&C's really. Just links to the registration page.

Can you show us your wording. Maybe we got different emails or there is some extra targeting going on.
The offer email:
This offer is valid when you register and make a new eligible flight booking between 12.01am (AEDT) 1 February 2018 and 11.59pm (AEDT) 5 February 2018 and travel between 12 February 2018 and 20 January 2019. An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Domestic or International Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned. For full details, see terms and conditions. Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Flight Rewards. See Airline Earning Tables for details. Status Credits will not be earned on flight vouchers. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus or Platinum One Loyalty Bonus earn requirements.

My email says this also. Not sure what exactly they mean...

I interpret that as meaning you won't earn SC just by buying flight vouchers.

You never earn SC by just buying flight vouchers so I think the intent is clear....
Perhaps someone could take the plunge and contact QF for confirmation - I might do it later today if have time.

The email also states:

Qantas Frequent Flyer
^The Status Bonus is applied to the actual Qantas Points earned when travelling in the Economy cabin. For travel in premium cabins, the Status Bonus is applied to the Flexible Economy earn rate.

So does that mean that if I took a business class flight, that I'll get the usual credits, plus only the Flex Economy rate for the bonus?

and also this:

Only one Double Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. If you qualify for multiple bonus offers, the offer first registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment.

Does that mean that if Flying MEL-SYD-BNE that status credit bonus will only be received for the 1st segment?

Is a flight voucher a "gift certificate" ??

Edit: a search of the QF site talks about Vouchers, Flight Gift Vouchers, Credit Vouchers, Customer Care Vouchers - but they all appear to generically be "Vouchers"?

Status bonus has nothing to do with status credits. It’s QFF ‘bonus’ points earned at differing levels of status. So don’t worry about that.

Part 2 - you will get double SC for all flights as long as they are booked within the promo period

The quoted T's and C's re vouchers is in a separate Red e-mail that is probably being rolled out to business customers as it came to my business email address.

I think in this context they are referring to the Status credit bonuses for the promotion not the tier bonus. Here is the exact email. It really does read that the bonus will earn only Flex rate and that only 1 segment will earn the bonus status credits.

This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer by Qantas. Only one Double Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. If you qualify for multiple bonus offers, the offer first registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment.

example would be.

MEL-SYD-BNE in business class.

According to that, they will only allow the bonus credits on the MEL-SYD, and the bonus will be calculated on the FLEX economy earn rate.

The voicher exclusion may be saying that if you use the voucher you got for christmas, it won't work.

Mine is a Fly Away Sale email for Singapore. So it must be that it is being rolled out progressively to everyone, but that takes time. I have not received it privately as yet.
