I was going to book a few flex Y domestic sectors on a multi city booking, with the chance of needing to change or cancel down the track.

With the $99 cancellation fee what I am finding a bit hazy is if it's a fee per sector or per booking?

EDIT: found my answer just after I posted. "$99 per person" not per sector.

Bookings - Fare Types

I registered for this as soon as it came out and got a page that says "Registration Confirmation. Thanks for registering...". I took a screenshot of this and booked a flight. After reading this thread tonight about email confirmations, I re-registered and this time the registration process seemed different and I did get an email after registering.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

I too clicked on the link provided in the initial email and didn't receive a confirmation email. Have just gone to the Qantas home page and registered using my QFF number and now have the email.

Thanks for reminding us that about getting that confirmation email.

Well I made good use of this promo, made $1,500 of bookings for flights in Feb that I was thinking of booking and I just needed to contact clients to confirm dates. May yet avail myself of more, need to decide at work later today. This is less a desire to increase current status, but heading towards Lifetime Gold

That is the case when my indecisiveness worked out well!
Just booked MEL-HKG RT for my visit to Russia for Word Cup 2018 +
8 RT trips MEL-PER for my work routine (thankfully we got pretty firm crew change roster)
+ 3 gift vouchers for myself wife and kid just in case for end of year status run

And like some others, I didn't get a confirmation e-mail for all of the vouchers I bought; on advice from here I took a screenshot of them at the paying stage, so thanks again to the advice given here.

This type of thing seems to happen pretty regularly, doesn't it?

And the risk when buying a few means you just might forget about one or two without the emails and likely have no proof of purchase other than the credit charge.

I also did not get an email confirmation when I registered. I have since booked a trip that includes 400 SCs on QF operated flights (i.e. 800 with DSCs), and several vouchers. These posts make me wonder if I need to register again? However, does anyone know if there is a requirement to register prior to making bookings? If so, my concern is that registering again now could make it appear that I did not register until after I made the bookings ......

You should be Ok. However One option is to ring to say:
I registered but did not get an email confirmation for registering in the promo. Can you please send me an email confirmation

Just bought a QF voucher.....
Voucher in my email inbox within seconds.

Expiry date IS NOT 12 months, rather on 21 Jan 2019, ie day after current promotion ends.

Co-incidence?
Interesting.

For me the website confirmation said 21 Jan 2019 but the emailed voucher said 12 Months ie ~4 Feb

OK I called up 131331 and they advised they can see that I have registered and booked within the promotion period. They can't see when I registered or what the booking was. As I've only made one booking (so far) I'm satisifed with that...

I did not ask. I do have an email confirmation from when I went through the other registration process.... I have applied for plenty of other 50% status credit offers etc and you do not get an email confirmation. fingers crossed it will be OK.

I would like an answer to this very question as the registration page says "Once registered, you can make multiple bookings..." yet the T&C's say " This offer is valid when you register and make a new eligible flight booking between..." which doesn't specifically say you need to register first. Do T&C's trump the other blurb?

My wife registered about half an hour after I booked some flights and is preparing for an argument with QF on this.
