Are you implying that they should be given a full refund of the total fare paid (given a free flight) and then more compensation on top of this?I want to make it clear that the contract of carriage is severly deficient and it is my strong opinion that if QANTAS downgrades a passanger due to EBA or Overbooking, they should refund the whole fare and give some extra compensation. (5000 points is a joke)
Even EU regulations aren't that generous.
