EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

We did squeeze in an online shop at 9.30pm last night on Mrs LW's card - so 250 bonus points from that :D as well as 200 as "she" bought $30+ from Big W on the mid-week double bonus point offer - not going for toys (kids have enough :eek: ) - might look at the sporting goods though before it closes for the extra 250 points

Double Points this week :)

Still waiting for my first SELECT or Macro offer....

Because I didn't buy $500 of fruit & veg last week I received no offers this week

Dunno ... it was in the offer email.

I have noticed Bananas on both edr and flybuy emails in the last few weeks. Maybe a banana has some connotations for the subconscious of shoppers.

I get Watermelons!

No offers for the family this week. I was hoping for a birthday offer for my partner. Maybe it will come on Wednesday.

Woolworths are very into the fresh food thing at the moment and that probably explains the pictures of fruit in the offers.

Intersting about the note on one of the offers which said it could only be redeemed twice. Maybe that is the EDR answer to our love of taking up the multiple offers many many many times.

I've also been inspired by Joshua's efforts but would like some advice on whether I should get involved in this given my situation.

I don't like Qantas or Woolworths.

I have been concentrating on Velocity for the past 2 years and for a self-funded leisure flyer (15 - 20 flights per year) I've earnt good points through flying almost exclusively with VA and taking advantage of the random offers (credit card sign-on bonuses, double points in the global shop etc). If there was a similar offer to WOW with Coles and VA FF I would be all over it like a rash.

However, there are only so many ways to earn VA points without flying or spending lots of money.

This seems to be the only offer at the moment for any airline in Australia that has the possibility of SERIOUS points earn for very little money (the 100 points per Select offer for cat food means less than 1 cent per point).

I'm loathe to split my points between 2 rival airlines as it seems to dilute both but I read this thread every day as it seriously gaining my interest and I feel like Im missing out on some fantastic earning opportunities!

Anyone in a similar boat?

Still hoping someone can give me some advice on this!!

If you don't like QF and WoW then you are in a spot of bother. If you can grit your teeth and bear it the EDR is well worthwhile. My average points haul is about 500-1000 a week, not counting the CC earn. That's about 2-3 months for a classic flight MEL-SYD. There are many who post to this thread who eclipse my earn totally, so I would say I am at the lower end of the earning spectrum. YMMV.

If you have status with DJ (SG or WP) then it may be harder to swap airlines. I am QF WP and without a status match doubt I will be flying DJ anytime soon for example.

Join the program, use it on purchase of items which are same brand / price at both WOW & Coles, work the system a little, review effort required VS rewards available

Happy = Stay
Unhappy = Leave

Virgin and Coles have potentially made a fatal mistake by not partnering together. They must read this thread and be wondering how wrong they got it.
Don't worry Flybuys you got Webjet! :rolleyes: Virgin you got no one!

No offer me for. Although I do have a Big W offer that expires on Wednesday, so perhaps I'll get something mid week.

I got a boring ol' tiered points offer for spend at Woolies ... accompanied by a picture of a banana if it makes a difference. LOL.

I got that too, but am away this week. In Palm Cove and closest shops is a Coles, so won't be making use of, besides it was a little on the expensive side for me anyway. Activated it, won't even spend and hope they realise their error for next week when I do want to shop...



WOW, Big W and BWS - no min spend - 500 bonus

Macro shop - can only use twice - 50 points per shop

Big W - tier....not worth it
