EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Everyday Rewards is a joke.

On the 07/03/2013 I accrued a 30c fuel voucher. Last week I checked my account and the 30c fuel voucher was there so on Sunday 17/03/2013 I went to fill up 77 litres which should be 1155 QFF points.

I was just checking my flights on QFF account and notice an entry for 308 QFF points being Woolworths Petrol. Check my Everyday Rewards account and the 30c fuel voucher is still there with 045/04/2013 expiry.

Can someone please explain why this is so difficult? I need to chase up my rightful points again and explain the situation of why and how they stuffed up.

And my brother still has not received the 200 bonus points for meat in January as we do not have a receipt.

I have heard reports that when a petrol station is "offline" and cannot confirm EDR data, everyone gets an 8 cent voucher off their petrol(or 4 cents, whatever the standard voucher is at the time). It might be worth calling the EDR call center to see if there is anything they can do. If the 30 cent voucher expires before you have a chance to use it, they might re-instate the voucher. There is a chance they may add the points manually. I can't guarantee that either of these things will happen but it might be worth a go. I'd be annoyed too if I managed to combine a high value fuel offer, an almost empty tank and the bottom of the price cycle only to discover afterwards that the petrol station was offline.

it is this sort of thing that has seen me abandon "point hunting" with both WW and Coles/FB. Coupled with the fact that I got chatted for doing a multi car fill. Now we just buy what we need when we need it without reference to any of this stuff. Makes life easier, maybe not as much fun ;)
There are so many other ways to harvest points
Not saying I won't go back to it one day ;)

Woo hoo, it's been weeks but I finally got an offer - $200 for 30c off (or 15x fill in my language). Should be easy to achieve :D

Yeah....no thanks....

always keep your receipt (and ask if not automatically given...) until the points are given......

I purchased fuel for 3 weeks including jerry can. There are other petrol stations with cheaper petrol. I am not interested in 8c fuel discounts.

I should not have to continuously chase them up because of their inadequate systems....

An unusual offer.

This Easter your favourite confectionery earns you a chance to win a share of $10,000 worth of BIG W Gift Cards. Every dollar you spend = 1 entry in the draw to win.

Refers to spend on confectionery in the Ts and Cs.

We try not to do anything different with shopping either. We do not buy things we do not need. We may shift shopping items from one week to next to maximise bonus offers.

In my mind these are easy points and at last count we are at ~30,000-40,000 QFF points since Everyday Rewards inception. Not bad really.

Got no email offers last week, but somehow managed to snag a 30cpl fuel voucher on Thursday. I didn't activate any offers or recall any emails.

Oh well, just as well car is empty, 1000 points here I come.

Well an offer at last!
Do I use it? 30c off for a $200 spend.
Shopped yesterday (does not count :(. So now do I buy more than I need this week or not use it and chance getting a smaller offer in latter weeks? Or maybe I will go back to a dry run again.
Hmmm decisions!

Yeah. I don't bother much now. I activate any offers going, and if I make them, I make them. If not, no skin off my nose. I flash my cards at the right spots and my points increase.

Maybe they could increase a bit more if I devoted myself to chasing them down, but I don't want to get to the end and measure my life in FF points. I'd rather have no regrets and a few smiles.

Besides, I go into Big W and it's a warehouse full of stuff to clutter my house with. About the only thing inside that appeals to me is the kilo bag of licorice for $5.35. And I'm limited in how much of that I can guzzle down without I bulge. Having said that, I bought my new iPad there because it's a solid chunk of points, rather than the Apple Store where they are nice to me but don't hand out FF points.

I got half a tank in the car and knew that they would raise the price of petrol today or tomorrow. I was going fill up after work today but fuel has gone to $1.50.

Anyway if you in MEL fill up today before the school holidays or the price might not come down for about 2 weeks.

I was lucky to fill the car this morning and use my last 8c "voucher" (164 EDR points), so am armed and ready for my 30c one for this weeks shopping.

I get only these petrol offers now, I drive about 5,000 kms year so to me they are useless.

If you have a petrol voucher use it in the next 24 hours, I suspect Wednesday at the latest will see a big jump in prices, for some strange reason, now why do I not have to go to work on Friday????

If you want points and smiles then Google 'Miles and Smiles' ;)

At least when I am at work on Friday the phone will be quiet!
