One account spend $50 for 3 weeks for a $50 gift card and another spend $100 a week for a $100 gift card. A couple accounts spend $100 a week for a $30 gift card

The message on the Everyday Rewards members offer page has changed.

"Can't see your Cash for Christmas offer? If you have just joined Everyday Rewards, remember to check your email and we will have your offer to you within 48hrs after joining. If you are an existing Member please give us a call on 1300 10 1234 if you can not see your offer here by Thursday 16th October. Registration closes 22nd October 2014."

My guess is that the offer will appear in a couple of days so I won't need to chase it up.

I received the "$150 x 3 for $45" offer. I'm not even going to bother activating it.

I recently logged into my EDR account for the first time in over three years, and filled in some extra profile details. Our household income is in their highest option ($100,000+), so being the truthful person that I am, that's what I put. But being suspicious, I've just changed it to a less-truthful "$55,000 - $69,999". Let's see if that gets me back to the lower-hanging fruit.

Has anyone here with access to more than one EDR account ever noticed any correlation between profile and offers?

I'm sure the boss of EDR is delighted to hear it. Actual loyalty. Who would have thought.:)
They don't need to have a loyalty program to convince my parents.

IGA and ALDI are totally inadequate for my parents shopping needs and Coles are inconvenient. No need to change 20+ years of shopping habits just for the hell of it.

I usually give lots of profile information to Everyday Rewards but this is the one detail which I refuse to answer. I've done fairly well out of the various family member accounts so I don't want to risk that by changing some of the variables. My gut feeling is that you'll get better offers saying that your income is lower but I don't know how they connect that type of demographic detail with their targeted offer system.

Sister got Spend $100 for 3 weeks (has never done that) for $30 gift card
I got Spend $50 for 3 weeks for $30 gift card > should be easy to achieve
Dad / Step Mum has not received an offer yet

It looks like the current welcome offer for new members is spend $30 to get $5 off. Sounds good. I don't know whether every member gets this but when some of our family members joined the first couple of offers followed exactly the same pattern. The offers would be different now but there might still be a pattern to them.

Did you check the conditions in the email that offered you the voucher? Given it was targeted voucher to one particular EDR card holder, it seems entirely reasonable that the voucher is linked to the card regardless of where the voucher is printed.
You are right. I should have paid more attention and got mum to spend $15.01 and use the voucher and put the rest of the spend on my card. :(

$15 Voucher conditions said:
To redeem Bonus Voucher spend $15 or more and present the voucher and your Everyday Rewards card for scanning. Bonus Voucher is not transferable and is valid for one redemption only at participating Woolworths supermarkets. Bonus Voucher cannot be redeemed at Woolworths Online. Bonus Voucher cannot be applied to purchases of Liquor, smoking/tobacco products, gift cards and selected services. Lost or Stolen Bonus Vouchers are valuable and cannot be replaced. Damaged, photocopied, altered, defaced, or expired Bonus Vouchers will not be accepted.

Page 29 of the Woolworths catalogue which comes out tomorrow suggests that all EDR members will be eligible for Cash for Christmas except those in Tasmania and Western Australia. Woolworths supermarkets don't have EDR in Tasmania so that part makes sense. I have no idea why Western Australia is excluded from the promotion. Perhaps there is a separate promotion for Western Australia. My speculation is that the exact target and gift card will be different from member to member. New members will probably get the $30 card for the 3 x $100 spends as this seems to be the target for some of the general offers of this type.

So rainbowgirl, are you are suggesting that we check all accounts via the EDR website to see if there are offers there - I'd love to think that my kids accounts could have some spend $50 x 3, get $30 or similar...

There's a chance the the offers will appear there but I can't be certain. It could depend on exactly how the accounts have been set up and whether EDR have changed any of their rules in the last few years.

I just checked one of the Perth catalogues online. There's no reference to an EDR promotion on Page 29 and I didn't notice anything special on any of the other pages.

I'm in Perth and have just received a Cash for Christmas offer, so it seems WA is included after all. Unfortunately it's the 3 x $100 spend for $30 gift card one (and I'm not a new member, have been with EDR for several years) - I've only just completed an identical offer (plus a $100 spend for $15 voucher ""bonus week") a few weeks ago which was well above my usual spend anyway, so won't be activating or using this offer as I've already stocked up and don't need to get anywhere near the required spend for this offer for a while.

ETA: Have just noticed this offer is slightly different in that the $30 isn't a gift card but will be put on the EDR card.

I got two offers for the same card at BWS, on for a general spend over $30 and one for wine over $50/70.

My 'cheers offer for being a member" is 300 points for $30 of spirits at BWS

Thanks for letting us know. I'm wondering whether they decided to credit the card directly as it was quicker than sending them through the post to WA. This means you'll probably be the first to receive your reward.

Yes, I wondered whether something like that would be the reason - it's a good idea as I'm still waiting on the $30 gift card from the last promotion (received the "congratulations" email on 30 September), but I won't be taking up this promo anyway.
