EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

So got another email late last night to say that the 2000 points will be manually applied within the next 3 days.
We will wait and see.

Well the 2000 points posted this afternoon in 4 batches of 500 called "complimentary points".
Thank you Everyday rewards.

Wasted 750 bonus points on Friday. And I am starting to get real angry at Woolworth check-out staff.

Dad had an offer of 750 bonus points for $120 spend and mum 1000 bonus points for $200 spend but also had a docket voucher for $15 off. They spent ~$175. The check-out person quickly processed the $15 docket voucher and would not allow dad to scan his card telling them it had to on be mums card.

Is that true? Docket vouchers for discount on next shop are tied into an Everyday Rewards card?

I know it is only 750 bonus points but I am really angry. In hindsight I told mum and dad they could have shopped $15 and used the $15 voucher and then shopped the rest on dad's card.

This is not the first time they have had issue without check-out staff at Woolworths. It is not up to the staff to determine how the Everyday Rewards cards are used. It is almost like bullying. I think it is time to send Woolworths an email.

Spent $162 for 750 points ... not one item of "fresh food" in the trolley. WOW, have an absolute Sh$t fresh food offering.

Not sure where this fits. But I purchased petrol last week without swiping an EDR card. I was given a $10 voucher for woolworths supermarket. The voucher had about a four day expiry. Not sure what the deal was with the voucher - targeted/limited promo/or no EDR card related. But if it's the later $10 is certainly superior to $2.40 (60l @4cpl)

Was it the $15 voucher for spending another $100 in the 4th week, after the 3x$100 spend promo? Because those voucher are very much linked to the EDR card that was eligible for the promo to get the voucher.

Nicely times for our next shop.

But then I get this as part of an online offer:

Looks like it's a general offer, so please use

Nice conundrum to have :D - there might be 2 shops this week

My card got a "spend $275 and get 1000 bonus points". I was tempted to do this until my daughter's email account got a "We haven't seen you for so long and we miss you. Come shop online and we'll give you 30% off your next order"

As much as I hate to give up that many points, this offer floored me. It didn't include tobacco or gift cards (had gift cards been included I think I would have maxed out all the credit cards), but it included alcohol and stacked with already discounted products.

Did anyone else get that?

Yes the voucher is linked to the EDR number so cannot then scan a different card (not that I have tried....).

Week 3 of spend $30 get $5 off instantly and spend $50 get $10 off instantly done. Even better - no additional pantry stacking required so the gunpowder is dry!

It's free if you spend over $300.

And for us, that was easy to do as we stocked up on a few of the things we usually buy (our regular brand of shampoo was less than 1/2 price), canned tomatoes were $1 (the kind we usually buy), we got some sistema containers and alcohol (which were discounted anyway). Only thing we really forgot to check was whether they had already discounted toilet paper.

Yes, we spent more than we would usually, but it was non-perishables that we can store and will use anyway so we will reduce our future spends on those products.

I've been wondering whether this fruit and vegetable promotion actually saves customer money. It's online only. Are the fruit and vegetable prices higher online? If they are, it only saves you money if you have to buy online rather than instore. We can't use the general offer as we don't buy that much fruit and veg in one transaction except if we're hosting a party.

It's just me, but for a 5% discount I wouldn't even look at it I have to say. Leaving aside the fact that the online prices for fruit and veg are usually priced on a 'per item' basis, rather than a 'per kilo' basis, I still like the idea of being able to see my fruit and veg before I buy it. Plus, as you say, I think that the prices for fruit and veg are often more expensive online in general, although that might just be my perception more than anything.

I have had a $10 and a $5 voucher over the last couple of weeks.
