EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I've now done two $120/750 offers using Opal op-ups. Both have posted the base points but after ten days no bonus. Yet to complain.

I suspect as they go through the epay machine which is otherwise used for gift cards which are excluded, they are also being excluded

I have previously took advantage of the additional points offer by topping up my Opal card and the transaction (both the base points and bonus points) were processed without any issue. Bear in mind that the ePay machine spats out a little docket which the operator needs to scan on the POS machine (to process the sale) so I don't think this would be an issue.

Dad - 1000 bonus points for $275 spend
Brother - 1000 bonus points for $275 spend

LOL!
Tried hard to fullfill both of these offers this weekend.

My brother spent ~$40 and my dad ~$55. See what offers come up next time.

Perth people you will have to go to Gero and shop.I spent $140 at Woollies on 28/1 there as I had $5 off for $30 spend and 750 points for $140 spend.
On the docket got a 10 cents off fuel voucher,1/2 price beer offer as well as the BWS docket offer.
So this week 1000 bonus for $200-they really are dreaming.
But on my $20 shop in Gero on 4/2 got a $10 off if spend $100 online,1/2 price malteasers and another 1/2 price beer offer.

I've been getting offers of 750 points for $120 and 500 points for $80 lately. Mrs Warks gets the offer of 750 points for $275. Looks like they want my card to be used more.

I have the credit card but Mrs Warks has the EDR card and my original EDR card so she can use either depending on the deal. Funny thing I applied for a second EDR credit card about a year ago. Got a text saying the application had been received but never heard from them again. I only remembered it when I found the application in a clean up the other day. Great service huh? Meanwhile other banks are sending out unrequested platinum cards to the both of us. When I see their fees I just cut them up.

I received a spend $100 for 3 weeks, get a $30 gift card. - Isn't going to happen
Sister received a spend $50 for 3 weeks, get a $30 gift card. - Will be achieved

Mrs QF WP got this offer 10 minutes ago:

Whilst I registered, there is not a hope in Hades that we will meet a spend hurdle like that...so I gave the following comment:

This offer does not meet our regular shopping patterns and the spend hurdle is beyond our capacity. We don't shop on a weekly basis and cannot envisage spending $250 per week for 3 consecutive weeks.

Now to see what they gave my card.

Card #1 Spend $135 for 3 weeks get $40 Giftcard
Card #2 Spend $50 for 3 weeks get $50 Giftcard.

I know which one I'm going for ;)

My account got the offer of spend $100 per week for a $50 gift card. This works out to be a saving of around $17 per week but the reward won't be instant as I'll have to wait for them to send out the gift card. Usually we wouldn't spend this much at WW per week but the circumstances might be unusual in the qualifying weeks. I've got a party coming up in March so I could use the offer towards the non perishable party food in the first two weeks and the fresh food for the party in week 3. The amount can be spent across several transactions so it might just work.

Unfortunately none of the other family accounts have received the offer yet. A $30 gift card for $50 per week would work out as a better percentage saving per week. I've been doing a bit of stockpiling over the last few weeks at WW using the $10 and $5 off your shop promotion so I'm going to have to be careful what I stock up on.

$90 for 3 weeks of $300!
This spend is not uncommon for us but seem to be getting better value at Coles lately (total price and bonuses). Was previously drawn to WW by the bonus QF points but these seem to be thinner on the ground

2 Cards Spend $50 for 3 weeks get $50 Gift card.
2 Cards Spend $50 for 3 weeks get $30 Gift card.
1 Card Spend $100 for 3 weeks get $30 Gift card.
1 Card no offer yet.

Me - Spend $100 a week for 3 weeks and receive $50 gift card.

Now that's more like it. ;)

The gift cards for higher targets don't seem to be very good value, compared to the amount you have to spend to get them. It's just another example of the idea that loyalty programs reward you less the more you spend with them.

No luck on the other accounts yet. MIght end up using the $50 gift card offer on my account. WW have some specials on Cadbury Easter eggs in the catalogue that will be valid on Monday 16 February so I'll probably start my Easter shopping as part of the target total.
