EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I got the 3 week offer of a $30 gift card for $100 spend each week. I won't be taking it up as most of the promotion overlaps with the other offers we have of $5 off $30 for 3 weeks and $10 off $40 for 3 weeks. I think $15 off $70 worth of groceries is a much better return than the equivalent of $10 off $100 worth of groceries each week. Once again EDR shows that they reward people less for spending more money with them.

Just received same offer - spend $100 per week for 3 weeks and receive $30 gift card. I rarely shop at Woolworths and generally wait for an enticing offer - not sure this is enticing!

Same offer here. As I have just stocked up with everything I need/can think of with the flybuys offer I will be giving this one a miss.

Same here - Received this today and it's way above my usual spend at Woolworths so won't be bothering with it. I've been waiting (in vain, it seems) for one of the $5/$10 off a much smaller spend amount that a lot of others here seem to be getting but haven't received anything, just a few points offers (also for high spends) that are of no interest to me.

Seems like I got the same offer as everyone else.
Spend $100 over 3 weeks get a $30 gift card.
I find these offers hard to remember and keep track of.

Dad - $30 gift card for $100 spend each week for 3 weeks

More offers like this please Everyday Rewards. Some of the comments in this thread make no sense. "Refuse to scan the card"? They are not going to guess you only wanted to spend $45 this week but still wanted 500 bonus points. Scan the card. That is the name of the game.

I often don't scan the card and got the same $30 for $100 spend offer. I get a lot of lower level spend offers, and got the 5000 points home delivery offer.

I don't get any of the offers requiring high spends... they possibly think I don't have that much money! I'm happy for them to think that (in fact spending $100 a week would be almost impossible in our house for a single supermarket... we'd spread that between the three supermarkets and the fresh food market).

Same $100 for 3 weeks offer here. No use to me when I only spend $75/fn so didn't even bother activating.

Same offer. Pretty poor compared with Coles spend $50x4 for $50 voucher.

I just found my EDR card in an old wallet - hadn't used it for couple years, haven't received any offers since 2013.
Bought some cheap Taittinger at BWS on the weekend and today I get a double points over $30 offer (Mrs C did as well and she shops for a family of five every week ~$300-$400 spend).
Question: do we use my recently re-activated card or wife's oft-used card? I'm trying to work out whether disloyalty (like 2 years' worth) is an incentive for EDR to up their offer in subsequent weeks.

It's a poorly informed opinion (i.e. a sample of two) but it does seem making small purchases on an infrequently used card may lead to some enticement in the form of EDR offers to get you spending more, each at a level just beyond your previous spend.

Marketing/Politics 101 - spend money on new customers/voters or retaining disaffected ones and ignore 'rusted on' customers/voters.

Ever notice how marginal electorates seem to have good roads, new school buildings etc? Or $39bn in ship building for example...

The EDR is exactly the same as politics. Treat them mean & keep them keen - goes both ways.

If you go back over a few hundred recent posts you will see how the algorithm appears to work..

REMINDER

Not that AFFers need reminding but..

The spend $X get $5 or $10 saving instantly - starts from tomorrow - August 6!

I always thought that was a wife's mantra :)!

I have actually read the last few hundred messages  and that's why I was a little puzzled that both Mrs C (heavy loyal Woolies shopper) and I ($80 BWS shopper for first time in 2 years) got same offer. So I guess you are suggesting that Mrs C gives her card a rest and uses my card for her big shop this week.
