EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I'd agree. That the offer was made by EDR and accepted by you by way of an order constitutes a contract. This was confirmed when EDR withdrew in excess of the required $50 from your CC account.

Unfortunately from dealing with the EDR call centre I probably don't hold out much chance for a resolution when issues like this crop up. I had an issue with the EDR email offering items on special that were not available on-line or in the stores. They denied any responsibility, and Woollies did as well. They were not even interested in finding a resolution.

Has anyone got their 5000 points from the spend $50 online deal that ended August 2? Today makes it 7 days from end of promotion but we haven't got the points in my partner's account yet. Our order went through at $50.76 and the base points are showing but no sign of the bonus points yet. I'll probably wait another week and then decide whether to chase it up.

I had 2 problems on 2 accounts which I had to resolve. One resolved and the other claimed I didn't have a valid fuel voucher when I purchased fuel (points). I checked my account before going to fill up and had a fuel expiring that day which disappeared from account after purchase. In their response they spoke to me like a child.

We have investigated this matter for you, and can confirm that at the time of your fuel purchase made 13/07/2015 there was not a valid Fuel Saving Voucher on your account. Please bear in mind that in order to receive Qantas points on your fuel purchases, you must redeem a Fuel Saving Voucher which is earned by spending $30 or more in a single transaction at your local Woolworths.

The matter that did get resolved, they mentioned problems with their systems. EDR has really gone downhill lately.

We apologise that you did not receive the promised 250 Bonus Points for your qualifying spend on the 12/07; we have now manually applied these to your account for you. At present we are experiencing delays with Qantas Points being visible in our Member login, please allow up to 10 working days for these to be visible due to these delays.

I think most of us will have problems getting our 5000 bonus points. I think most problems occur around school holiday's.

Just reminds me how good Flybuys is now.

Nope, not me.

Not here either. Mind you I am still waiting for 250 points from a spend on 20 July.

I've seen points credit on Saturday and Sunday before. It used to be one of the differences between flybuys and EDR. Flybuys used to only credit points from Monday to Friday. Flybuys now credit points on Saturday but not Sunday, as far as I know. I guess we just keep checking the accounts and hope for the best.

Yes, points showed up last night.

Yes, 5000 points appeared in our account last night.

I like taking up two points offers in the same transaction too but haven't had a chance to do it with EDR lately.

Mine too! Riches beyond my wildest dreams*!! (to borrow a line from Pharaoh's Slots app)

*well - at least it pays for one QFFF award cancellation when having to book one year out but not actually able to travel when the date comes around.

Mrs prozac's 5k arrived today. Spurred me into action to chase up my own $75/500pts missing in action since 20 July. Success on that front, but it shows you need to be ever vigilant.

Not much love from EDR lately so no love shown in return. Also had issues at my regular Caltex who say that EDR points aren't posting and instead I am getting the discount. Going to ring and complain. Been 3 weeks now (2 fills)

They are aware of the fuel issue. Had to ring about my last two fills as well.

Still no 5,000 points for me...is it time to call them?

It's a very tricky call for this particular promotion. I tend to wait until 14 days after the promotion end date before I chase things up. If this was the first online order for the specific card used and you met every other single condition of the offer then follow it up whenever you like. Make sure the base points posted during the promotion period. The evidence in the EDR account and the invoice number from the WWonline should be enough evidence to prove your case. If it wasn't the first online order then it will be very tricky to prove your case although there would still be ways to get a t least some of the points. You could say that it was your first time using the new online website (which most people have had lots of problems with). You could also claim that the wording is misleading or that EDR shouldn't have made the offer to accounts that weren't eligible for the points. You could also claim the order was only placed for the bonus points or say you don't want to use the online service in the future as a result of the non payment of the bonus points. EDR will hopefully attempt to keep you as a customer and give you some or all of the bonus points. Good luck. Let us know how you go. The best way is to be persistent but fair. Be persuasive but not pushy.

FYI, first ever order.

FYI, first ever order.

Chase it up as soon as possible then. I have heard cases before where members didn't get paid the eligible points for their first online order and had to chase it up. The points were eventually credited manually in these cases.
