I have just been up to Etihad new lounge at Melbourne Airport. 99% of the lounge has been completed and furnished. They just doing some minor fixes. I think should be opened in a week or 2 max.

Just checked in for my EY flight in MEL. Check in staff said this Fri was the tentative lounge opening date

Purr-fect On an AA award in F MEL-AUH-JFK on EY in November 777W then a380 Looking forward to the new F lounge in AUH and also an EY lounge in Melbs I want to avoiud those vulgar NZ lounges (post refurbishment!!!!) and nothing can be as bad as the QF F lounge in Syds where aircon dont work and you walk out smelling like youve been in Hawkers Corner for a few hours! Go EY Go Star Allianc Go CX!!

We'll be attending official opening this coming Monday and can share pics then, but of course if somebody from AFF happens to be flying EY ex-MEL and in the lounge before then, all and good – I can promise you'll like what you see

That view out onto the ramp looks wonderful. Love the special mocktails and ala carte dining! That bar looks pretty well stocked as well.
