Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

My 2 year anniversary is coming up. If I cancel my card and then reapply, will I get another bonus 16,000 points?

Hi,

I have a QF Everyday Rewards credit card and an Amex QFF Premium card.

If I shop at Woolies , Big W, BWS , I swipe my everyday rewards card and use my Amex because I get more QFF points ( 1.25 vs 1.0 per dollar spend) . It looks like from late July, the difference will be greater to the advantage even more of Amex.

Is there any reason that I should use my QF EDR mastercard instead. I am just wondering if I am missing something.

The Amex bonus points stopped some months back. As I understand it the Amex offer deteriorates markedly from 23rd July. It's no longer 1.25:1. For other than restaurant and Qantas charges it will be 1:1 for most items but telephone, utilities and ATO go to 0.5:1. I'm winding back Amex and using WEDR much more these days.

I just got this message assoc w' this card, and as far as I can see over the short time I have had it, that the points transfer into my QF acct automatically when the balance is paid off.

Is this everyone else's experience to confirm plse as according to this, we will (or perhaps just those who 'need' them) get 2 lounge passes?

Are you sure you have the correct thread?... This is the Woolworths Everyday Rewards MasterCard, which is a direct earn QFF card, there is no choice in the matter...

However, I will not be getting 50K points on this billing period, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Yes, this is the card I have that is attached to QF FF. The email I got from QF does not state which cc it refers to specifically, but this is the only QF points cc I have. But, it is my impression that the WEDRQ cc all shift the points straight away across to QF ... don't they?

If so, I don't know why QF sent me this email. But 2 QP passes would have been very nice thank you.

Did anyone else get this email??

Yes, email came from QF and possibly for those silver or lower. I am buying a new car on this but not $50K worth. But as the points come over automatically, it all seems a waste of time to me.

They are probably targeting PS or lower to try to get them to transfer points from any other card(s) you have, and will give 2 free QP passes as an incentive.

Its a bit more complicated than that .

In fact major supermarkets and petrol stations get you two QFF points per dollar spent on Amex from 23 July.

Hi to all of card holders here

Just a quick question, after you applied online of this card, do you get a ref number or any confirmation email after that? I only got a message from website said: "you will receive decision from us by mail".

Called up their cc today and was told my application was not there?:?:

First thing you should look for is a reference to a credit card number when you log into your everyday rewards account. This will mean the card is on its way. Otherwise a delay may mean you will be notified by mail to take documents into your local store for verification prior to approval

Thanks for your information. I now can see a ref number showing in my everyday rewards account, the status is pending. Does that mean anything?

You should receive the card in the mail in the next couple of days. That's how it worked for me :)

Has anyone got their card replaced?

Mine is starting to show some serious 'wear and tear'

The "pay-pass" function doesn't work 90% of the time and most of the plastic on the front is starting to peel off.

Question is, can they replace the card, with the same number? It's such a pain to go through automatic debts (etc etc etc) for a new card.

2nd that question ... My pay pass function has only ever worked at most 10% of the time. I suppose it's almost a safety device if I did lose the card. Also, I don't want to contact the many direct debit people.

I had this exact same issue, called up and asked for a replacement, was told would receive one in the next 5 days but that in 48 hours my current card would be deactivated as a 'security measure'. So good news was the card number and expiry were the same, bad news was a direct debit was declined in the period between when the old card was deactivated and when the new card was received and activated. PITA. Call centre said there is no way to stop the automatic deactivation, seems to be pointless when the card is reported as faulty and not lost or stolen.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll give them a call during the week and go from there.

I've had the everyday reward card linked to my qantas account for years and have just received the EDR credit card after applying through the 20,000 bonus link here. So, using the credit card I assume I don't continue to swipe the original reward card for Q points?
