Just bought my new car half on this card and the other half across 2 AMEX Velocity cards. It was part of a rigorous negotiation and agreed after I got the best price w' a number of dealers.

Just before delivery, they 'forgot' the part about putting it all on cc and so I was ready to walk and go elsewhere, but then they agreed it w' no further comment. I don't think I will mention which dealer to be fair.
 
Thank you thank you thank you to the people posting the bonus link for starting this card. Just received 16,000 points which will get me a flight in J from HK. Sweet.
 
My bonus were there with the first payment due. So within the month.
 
No where near as good as my Amex site. Same w' the phone back up. It all seems a bit amateurish.

Good. It isn't just me. I hate the log in portal and as for that memorable answer when they won't ask the question. In one month I've locked myself out twice. Then as for finding stuff - just not intuitive at all.
 
I received my bonus points after about one month but instead of 20000 I only received 16000. Luckily I have kept the link and date of application and waiting for call back from cs centre

It's 16000 on the website and I suspect the link for 20000 has been replaced by it. I received 16000 despite using the 20000 link.
 
Interesting experience just now.

I put through a phone charge and was advised there would be a higher 1.6% surcharge because this is a Platinum card.

Now I know it is branded 'Platinum' in small white letters but this is the first time (than I'm aware of) that I've been slugged extra for this reason.

The lady at the other end was keying the number in as I read it out and this is what came up on her terminal.

I have this plat card and it's never happened to me. Are you able to say which company wanted the extra 1.5%?
 
I really hate their website and their log in approach. Surely they can do better than this.

I'd been wondering when this may happen. Years ago I held off upgrading my Citi card to Platinum for this very reason whilst I did some research on it.

I think 1.6% is too high though, if they are not surcharging 'normal' mastercards. Platinum would cost the merchant 0.25 to 0.3% more than a standard/gold card.
 
signed up to this card using 20,000 bonus points link.. but only received 16,000 points. so frustrating
 
hey pauly7, just called them this afternoon. the lady asked me to send an email to them with a screenshot. haven't heard back yet.
